And strangely enough, she was working as a Singer in a Karaoke Bar when I met her. (Hang on that doesn't sound like the Human League) Amongst her many qualifications for her future role, her former singing career is a key element, in that when we do go to Karaoke nights 1) At least one of us can actually sing and 2) One of us always wins the £100 booze voucher. Now, back on topic. Luckily I have to leave work shortly, so when I get home I will post some other reasons why Golf can be interesting. Just watched Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close. Oh FFS I said when I saw 1) Tom Hanks and 2) some Home Alone ADD clone in the lead roles. But I thought I would give it 10 minutes, nothing else was on.. And wow, what a powerful film. I suppose in reality it deals with Grief, but mixed in and around 9/11, the hopelessness of the story and the Brat and the horror of the Voice Mail messages just dragged me in. First film I have seen in ages that has hit me emotionally. Yes it was schmaltzy in places and yes the Brat was less than sincere at times, but in some ways I think that was good, IF the film had been more "heavy" I think the portrayal of grief it showed could have been painful. Voted a well worth a watch on telly 6/10

Although, in fairness for many a $2/300 monthly income is beyond their dreams. I had my wtf moment in life when I was taken to a soup kitchen for Heroin addicts in Karachi. I think it's the only time in my life where I have seen something that truly broke my heart and shook my belief system to the core, so can understand how it must have come across on the telly and for someone used to running tourists business people & p1ssheads around London at all hours
