  1. Gotta disagree with you mate. What we do NOT need right now is a NAME for the sake of being a NAME. (eg Moyes). What we need is someone who will understand the playing style, the Bielsa backbone of that and develop it and our players further. We have kids from age 8 playing a certain type of football and the new appointment cannot rip that up. A name like Pulis, organised and with a hoofball track record, a name like Fat Sam.... We know they would not adapt to our style. The BOARD have to sit with 5 or 6 people and make sure that THEY have ideas. Our new manager is SOD ALL to do with "What they have done in the past" that has simply got them to an Interview. What WE should be worrying about is What they will do in the FUTURE. I believe Koeman will fit as would McLaren or anyone else who has coached this type of style. But Moyes with his Wingers and hollywood passes showed he would not be a fit. It is not ONLY the name, they MUST play the right way
  2. SiP. When were you in Dubai? You've been talking to my bloody Caddy haven't you......
  3. IF you are on Business then the Emirates Lounges in Dubai are very good and about 5 times the size of the Etihad one in AUH (Showers etc). There are also 2 hotels in the airport if you have a long stop over and want some down time. The new Concourse C where the A380's come in and out is better than the regular EK Concourse B but it is an even worse Shopping Mall layout UNLESS you are in Business Class. One other factor though - Both EK & Etihad offer Complimentary Limo service (each way) at either end. (Last time I checked) Emirates however only offer that for 50 miles in the UK then you have to pay, Etihad offered unlimited, so you can get picked up free in a nice Merc, aslo of course you can use them to get to your hotel at the other end. EK Business Class on the A380 is VERY good - and on a really long haul the ability to go sit/stand at the bar at the back of the plane for an hour or so is a God-send. Their only failing is that it takes 1.5 hours to get any food drink (after the free bubbles) which when flying overnight is REALLY annoying unless you sleep right through the food.
  4. Nice one CC. Meanwhile exclusive to TMS regulars, here is THE #1 Twit to follow for all the excietment of the World Cup build up with the England party. https://twitter.com/BoringMilner Think he is almost as legendary as Soccerguy
  5. A fake Austin. Hmmmm Does this mean we are getting a fake manager? That twonk who tried to board the England Flight perchance?
  6. Next will be the pics lifted from our other thread.
  7. ORLY? That is sooooooooooo T1
  8. Well, obviously Antigua is a long way away. The queues at Immigration at T5 are dreadful. All married men who have been on vacation know it takes our wives two weeks to pack in each direction. Nope, after that I'm struggling
  9. http://thegamesgonecrazier.blogspot.ae/2014/06/lallana-betrays-southampton-fans-as-he.html?spref=fb Wet Spam view When you see fans of other clubs using words like SHAME ON YOU, it would appear that someone needs to give him a slap and get him a PR specialist pdq.
  10. Thanks Guan.
  11. Post on the Echo Forum that Koeman was shown round Staplewood today Trying to link it but not working atm https://www.facebook.com/groups/EchoSaintsForum/permalink/10152176695386700/ Make of that what you will
  12. Perhaps he should simply rename his Dog Bearsy?
  13. So the photo I posted yesterday was Photoshopped eh? Congrats "experts", it was photoshopped onto the Getty Images web site & into the Daily Fail http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2646052/Liverpool-confirm-4m-Rickie-Lambert-signing-England-striker-returns-began.html
  14. He knew he was going some months ago. Drunken comments he was supposed to have made in Bompey and received from taxi drivers that at the time were totally regarded as being a load of balls. Not ITK not worth mentioning at the time for the abuse they would have got but now with hindsight seems AL had his personal deal sorted a long time ago. #nottappedupatall
  15. Dude. You SO have to do a Sandance with us one day... That description fits almost everyone we've been to. We know we get a Double Decker Bus to somewhere in town as we see the photos/vids of EoA teaching everyone OWTS. We know the buses go somewhere in town and always wake up to find the front door wide open, a trail of clothing on the floor and a sore neck from having slept on the top stair. Yeah the band were great they played??? Who were they?? Where's the bloody camera?
  16. 10 years ago could not find Real Ale in Dubai for love nor money - maybe a pint of Boddington's or Kilkenny. Now we have one of London Pride or Pedigree on tap in every bar. Not proper Real Ale but a decent pint. On my last visit to our Hole in the Wall I found over 20 different bottled Ales including Henry's IPA (Wadworths), Ringwood 49er and (my least favourite) Spitfire. I'm told we are to blame all the migrant EU workers who went to the UK made a fortune, travelled home and suddenly exports of UK Bottled beer shot up first in the EU (Especially in Poland - even drank OSH DRAUGHT over there!) Here? Well there's 200,000 of us Brits so they'll bring in all sorts. Ooh, that reminds me Eric. Not long to the Hopfest.......... Pack yer dancing shoes, Town Called Malice already on the play-list!
  17. What is this Corrie of which you speak? Is it the UK version of a Stephen King novel? Isn't Tina Peter Shilton's ex? or is my memory not right?
  18. Would agree in any circumstance EXCEPT Rickie. The player ASKED to leave. Surely not even the most blinkered Saints "Fan on the Board" would have refused him.
  19. Lot of us think that could well be the case as well, not just other fans!
  20. Oh dear, not gone too well overnight for FIFA & Qatar. Sunday Times seems to have done them up like a kipper. I notice the standard response (correct legally) is that Bin Hamman was not a member of the Official Qatar World Cup Committee, which will be their get out clause. One then has to ask where the hell did BH get all the cash from? The talk of a re-vote is all well and fine IF the allegations would stand up in a court of law, but the fall out could cause immense consequences. Qatar has already invested Billions in infrastructure projects, a herd of Organisations & Individuals have invested HUGE sums as well. IF a re-vote happens then the claims for Damages could destroy FIFA and de-stabilise the country. Odds have to be on a fudge solution and no re-vote.
  21. Quite possible, there was some post on Twitter yesterday that 5 players have delivered Transfer Requests over the weekend Tweet was sent to me no idea on the veracity or ID of the poster
  22. Been saying that for a week. The look on my youngest's face (Scouser, ex wife influence) when I mentioned that was priceless. Extremely possible as well.
  23. I have a Tortoise. We called it Rambo. It's been with us almost 15 years. Found out last week it's a girl. Should I rename it Alps?
  24. Another indictment of the poor quality of our current Board / motivation in our media team. Obviously their family vacations are more important than even MENTIONING on our OS that we have accepted an offer from Liverpool. So they got someone in from Apple. Shame they have no idea how football works.
