People are White Pink (Tourists on the beach here) Yellow Brown Black So to insist on ignoring ALL the shades of colours of Asia what is that all about? Should we in a post Saintandy world call them different hues? Roughly 80% of the population here are from SE Asia. Of the remainder, 80% are from Arabic speaking lands. Of the final 80%, 20% are white. Some of you may have noticed that I have been working at some golf events the past couple of weeks. As a result I have spent around 6 hours a day for 11 out of 12 days in the desert sun. This now makes me an extremely (annoying to you lot in winter) shade of Brown. But only to my collar line and my arms. Does this now mean I have to arrest myself because I have a good colour? Should I spend another week on the beach to become a PC shade of Black? I saw a Father Christmas today in a supermarket that has branches in the UK. He was a South West Asian, but he was wearing make up to make himself the proper non coloured colour to be Santa. Should I now sue the UK company for making a coloured person white? Your PC stuff is SOOOOOOO hard to keep up with, the Elves at Santa's grotto in the Oasis Centre were clearly not from the North Pole unless climate change has had an impact up there & they all have strong tans. Should I be offended? Should I have apologised for assuming that from a land of eternal night in the winter months I shouldn't have expected them not to be South East Asian in complaxion?

Went to local supermarket, Choithrams this morning. they had an Asian gentleman dressed as Santa complete with white face paint walking around the store going Ho ho ho. Didn't feel very Christmasy. Was it the fact that he was sweating under the beard & wig and the face paint had gone all streaky or did I think of streaky & Ho ho ho?

Hmmmm, yum yum, of course I love it darling....... Luckily by the time the 4th or 5th Vodka shot goes down it ain't so bad

Yeah of course. We all have them. Down side is she's from Sri Lanka and after 18 years I am REALLY getting fed up having curry for lunch & dinner EVERY day & really thought I'd try and get some new ideas. I learnt yesterday that you have to defrost a Turkey, but haven't found a Roast setting on the microwave yet, so that's bugging me. Once I get the recipes, I'll start a thread asking how to switch my cooker on, followed by how do you do the washing up? Apparently someone on facebook told me I am supposed to add water to the washing-up liquid. WTF is that all about? Might even see if I can work out how to wash my car tomorrow.

Being a lazy so and so use Bisto GRANULES, not the powder. (Well tbh have never SEEN the gravy powder down here until this week in local supermarket where we now have a choice of about 6 types of Waitrose Finest/whatevers) Pour the Meat Juice in the Measuring Jug first Then Pour Boiling Water in the measuring jug (I use Veg water & boiled water about 60:40). Then sprinkle one teaspoon of granules at a time while stirring with your other hand - stops the lumps. Leave to thicken for a few moments and add any more meat juices that you can gather up after carving, quick final stir and voila. Ain't gourmet but it works My turn - cannot find ANY Bread Sauce mixes - anyone got a winning recipe? Or am I back off to Casa Google?
