Okay okay good point, but at least I had an excuse - 2 days at the 7's inc Sunday on free beer all day Saturday. Think I did well to remember how to find this thread let alone actually get the month right We bumped into our local ex SSN celeb & buddy of MLT Rob McAffrey yesterday he was glowing in his praise of us and the type of football we are playing, also pointed out that NA is a very Intelligent Manager. He also said "you must be loving the problems of that lot up the road" with a big laugh while slurping his free beer. Was going to ask him what the Pundits out there thought of their chances of getting away with it but we were unfortunately sidetracked by the Amarula promp chicks

A Daily Mail story that somebody seems to have missed
dubai_phil replied to badgerx16's topic in The Lounge
???? so the D'Olivera affair is linked to, Ian Smith declaring independence for Rhodesia which equals a vile racist leader of a country that had no right to excist in the modern world. Nope, not following that logic at all. -
The way things are shaping up at the moment with our form and their "slight off field issues" they'll beat us on 16th, fail to pay the wages the following week and sink into oblivion with the final irony of having thier result against us expunged from the records as their Xmas present. They'll bleat that at least they won their last ever match and we'll know they should never have played against us at SMS in the Cup

Where's my wedding invite?

Huge shout to the England Rugby 7's team today who won here in Dubai for the second year in a row AND most importantly beat Les frogs in the final Perfect Hic

thx everyone for the txt updates. We lost Bollo x BUT the upside is we got to see England win a Sporting event away again. Big shout to fellow TSW member GJ for blagging me an upgrade into Corp Hosp for an afternoon on London Pride washed down with Amurulah shots Need to sort things out though and quickly -
Need to get some away form going today. Will be relying on txt updates as todays mission is to join fellow exile % lurker GJ in the Heineken Hostility tent at the rugby/ Lot of lessons yesterday we could take to SMS - allowing s to take cool bags full of beer into the stands, banning Stone Island and replacing it with fancy dress or silly hats, rousing choruses of Move like Jagger & Hey Bay every 7 minutes, looney suicical parachutists trying to hit the goal posts, marching camels, building trings of plastic bags that go all the way round the stadium...... nah maybe not, you have to be shredded to not find it all annoying Although watching Brazilian women play rugby and just KNOWING that the 'tater is gonna do a Clarkson a number of non PC classics? Yeah that was a moment Day Two here we come 12 hours again, please send spare liver

OK so wow, I can still feel my fingers after a day at the rugby. Awesome. Guys - I don't "get" Twitter either. I have tweeted a total of 15 times in my life and three of those were competitions. Yet I have more weirdos following me than I have tweeted. Anyway the whole Social Media thing is interesting as long as you are sensible and follow only peeps you are interested in (eg Ian Poulter tweets about a zillion times a day which really fooks up your home page!) But it takes nothing to sign up and simply identify people or players from links on here or the search facility. Just avoid too many YAY we're getting bladdered/laid/smashing up poopey type posts and it's fine. Do too many of the former and one day some future employer GF/The wife etc may find it!

Good lad. http://twitter.com/#!/stief87 And many more. Now if he only gets a regular start he could become a true legend. But great to see some of the banter

Ah electrotherapy.

Probably because CSI agreed to pay by installments. Oh and a requote from an IP last time round. AA - well if it was football he worked in he'd have been fined and banned for bringing the game into disrepute. He REALLY is not a popular person in the industry

There's a final view to those saying what a nob JC is. It's simply jealousy. Let's face it, every single one of us regular posters on here spout of a load of garbage day in and day out. Probably a load more if you add in FB or twitter. JC has simply managed to find a way of making himself AND the BBC a shed load of money out of sprouting garbage. For that I salute him. And yes I am a JC fan, I had a ridiculously drunken flight from LHR to Dubai about 16 years ago with him squashed into an economy class seat next to me on Emirates, we talked totally bs all night long (like everyone on here). He then totally co-incidentally managed to show my old first car here - a beaten up Land Rover which had randomly been in a car park at the pub as being THE best 4x4 in this town. He makes money talking sh1t wow. BUT the point is we ALL know it is sh1t and we can choose not to listen to it (it's called an OFF button). Unfortunately a hell of a lot of other people (ie most of Westminster) also talk sh1t but expect us to take them seriously.

I'm shocked and outraged that someone would choose to leave Dagenham and Redbridge for (insert non PC joke here)

oh and a short farewell from D_P for the weekend. I had serious reasons to be posting gibberish clues since the summer, but this weekend it'll be back I'm afraid - Yep, the egg chasers are in town. Ain't nowt to do with watching Rugby (unless England win) more about a two day silly hat silly T Shirt and get stupidly drunk and dance like Dads to repetitive rubbish . If you need me I'll be on Sky Sports Fri/Sat - you'll see me easily I'll be the sunburnt old fart holding a can of Heineken leering at the cheerleaders and having to listen to "Our local rockers" belting out their Rugby 7's anthem http://www.julianadown.net/home.cfm Yawn Have fun team

Stevie - you may think that but I could not possibly comment. Otherwise I lose my "Death (in front of their families) is too good for them" stance. But c'mon, let's face it - find a buyer in 4 weeks, due dilligence, possible future claims against the legality of ownership or even "Handling Stolen Goods" ???? How many people were queuing up to buy them last time round? It took Saints HOW long??? when you could buy 30mil of FIXED property assets for 12 mil and get a football club free????
-
Again the OTHER pretty large issue that will hang over any potential sale is.... Were CSI handling "Stolen" money? Can the funds that CSI invested be traced back to The Baltics? Again forgetting any possible Admin scenario, finding a buyer? They have 4 weeks. How long did Mark Fry take? Andrew Cowen & Rupert (depending on who you believe) tried for two years. Leon tried for a year - and all that was BEFORE Lehman Brothers hit. Find a buyer in 4 weeks? Why would Chinny put any MORE money in now? He can claim against WRC value etc And find a buyer while there is "turmoil & uncertainty" floating around the ownership and legality of the actual shares? Very very tough call The burn rate appears to be 1.5-2mil a month ours was 500k Can the supporters trusts buy them for a quid and find that much cash to get through January and sell some of the players? Kanu's not left after how many owners? the others? Not toast that's for sure but Another Fine Mess

Just under 5,000 complaints to the beeb. So I reckon that makes it about 59,995,001 who have not complained. Storm in a teacup and a PR managers dream. Free publicity just as he has DVD to sell for Xmas. Whether it was PC to say what he did or not or whether it was funny, the fact that the sheep jumped on the bandwagon. Bet his Bank Manager & Pension Fund Manager are laughing their rocks off.

Ah ha, somebody else knows an IP.

Great News

Jeez they still keep trying to compare their situation to ours. 130million vs 30mil Payment in full to everyone except Aviva. But the real BOMBSHELL for the skates that keep trotting this rubbish out would be IF it could be shown that in fact Aviva had ALREADY offered to accept a stadium settlement BEFORE admin. Again what those thick morons don't understand is that Aviva had a MORTGAGE on the stadium valued at 30mil. Some 18 mil or so HAD BEEN PAID BACK. The mortgage was THEN REPAID EARLY. You can tell all the morons live in Council houses they have no idea that you get a discount for early repayment of a Mortgage. The ACTUAL loss to Aviva IF someone ever gets the accounts out will be shown to be around 2million. Something like 20% of what CSI spunked in 4 months on that cesspit
