1. Although.... Mate of mine was in town today from Damascus - took him to SMS for the Villa game in our relegation year First thing he said was - Wow Southampton doing really well now, all my friends now see them on TV and say "wow you told us this team was good" So UK may not be noticing but the Middle East region is
2. IF it settles back down then you have to include Syria in the list. Jordan can be done in 2 days, Syria 4 or 5. Cairo 2 days & Luxor etc another day with some time on the Red Sea. Damascus, Alleppo, Palmyra, Homs, Crac Des Chavaliers... once the idiots settle down & the dinosaur leaves and praying it doesn't go nuts it is a wonderful place. Unfortunately for us a trip into Israel ain't gonna happen (see Gemmel's post) our passports would tell them the wrong story
3. Ditto, but having been to Jordan (and Syria) a number of times, going to those sites is a must for anyone who can. It puts the reality of the central point of Religion into stark contrast versus the "Big Business" of Religion ie giving people "comfort", and owning huge tracts of the planet and and and and....
4. You see, this is SOOOOO much more than just about poopey, this stuff affects every aspect of everyone's LIFE!
5. Oh yeah that club on the South Coast, didn't they used to be everyone's second team back in the day?
6. Anyone fancy a job with travel? http://www.wfblondon.co.uk/our-team/

Vacant Project Manager E-mail CV to us

Vacant Office Manager E-mail CV to us

Vacant International Lawyer E-mail CV to us

Vacant Head of Venture Department E-mail CV to us

. Major investment and finance projects of Workforce Bank Limited are based in countries of CIS, mainly Russia and Ukraine, therefore vacancies require frequent and longer trips outside UK. Make sure that it does not coincide with your family plans.
7. http://www.wfblondon.co.uk/five-months-at-pfc/ yeah all 11,000 of them
8. Anyone need some financial advice? help with investments or opening bank accounts? http://www.wfblondon.co.uk/partners/ Oooh there is an interesting little logo in amongst that lot.
9. Think that's an easy answer. There are no "gangs" of guys in the Chapel, possibly groups of 5 to 8 mates. They ALL want to sing in the Chapel but 5 lads together isn't going to make it happen. On Saturday people around me wanted tos ing BUT by the time we could hear what the Northam were singing they either went atarushheadlongintoaveryfast chorus and then stopped. Or they just stopped. Point is the Chapel join in BUT with a Slow OWTS they only hear the song half way through and by the time we start to join in the Northan have gone back into extra fast mode. That NEVER happened at the Dell, OWTS was a set pace and everyone could pick up on it and join in but oh no gotta do it quick. Even the Rickie song - by the time Northam is in full voice for only one verse we just about had time to sing rickielambertsouthamptonsgoalmachine. Trust me - if songs get past just one verse then the Chapel would have caught up and be giving it large. After all old folk aren't as fast as the yoof of today, they have to turn their hearing aids up to understand what is being sung then work out the words and oh bugger song finished
10. Oi! Meanwhile. Many moons ago we had a Corporate Golf Event (ie a blag of a freebie trip to Jo'burg) One of the guys on the blag was Gibbon Human. He was a Yarpie of original Boer extraction. God knows where his parents found him though
11. Thought Hugh Grant was very good yesterday. Allowing for the fact that this section of the inquiry is "emotive" as much as anything then he did a good job and did counteract many possible arguments back against him 'the I trade on my good name - lol I'm the guy arrested with a hooker" was perfect as was his where do I sign to never be in the press. The Snail's rebuttal actually makes it more interesting - the source was a freelancer. Wasn't that technically the case quite often with the NOTW? How do they KNOW their freelancer wasn't into hacking? Makes entertaining viewing on SkyNews while waiting for the evening movie to start down here
12. Arrogance? I wonder if this will be the downfall? Stories I heard about his (first) Bompey bid was that he knew it all. Didn't need to follow the normal process, had the "I am rich why do you need proof of funds to talk to me?" attitude, backed up by his show off wheels & the like. The rumamafia sites allude that he played a scam within Russia, and this current Baltic issue seems to be following a similar trail. Could he possibly have been so naive to think that he could get away with stuff inside Russia and assumed he was so important he could do it outside as well? That would then fit the profile of someone who wanted a train set to show off, and the possibility that he was less than careful with his Due Dilligence (hence his comment about the club being "Debt Free") Not so sure that his "Empire" is necessarily collapsing around his ears, think it is more along the line that he may have made one mistake (typical of people who never listen) and has set in motion a series of train wrecks. Seriously don't think any of this will affect poopey YET. The only thing that can do that would be should an Extradition/Arrest Warrant be issued which could then force the FL to revise their FAPP. But as poopey are owned by CSI not by Vlad himself that would offer a get out clause. So I think it's just set up perfectly for another few months of great moments and lolages for us and more heartbreaking uncertainty for the few. The big test in terms of how this could pan out will be the loan window closing on Thursday.
13. But surely we should outsource it all to Xerox to allow ourselves to get on with tearing new a**holes to nPc teams?
14. I can also point out to the regular readers that the lads were as tuneless as me when it came to singing (which they did). I wasn't my normal self, could it have been because I was terrified that if I opened my mouth to say - "Come on You Saints", some cop would video me and accuse me of shouting "he takes it the Brighton way" or something?... How can you all enjoy football in such a police state? Or was it because we had such a long chat with other lads at the Chippy that I never got time for any beers so I wasn't my usual rambling self?
15. Oh wow that is one cool dude mofo of a lorry. Anyone get video of it turning into Optimus Prime?
16. Just a minor point of pedantry... Just do googling before you go on what "must visit" sites you absolutely totally really must see... As quite a few Holy Sites (but not a lot) are actually next door in Jordan and commuting so to speak isn't the best use of a day of holiday
17. No that's what Hammond did. He had gone too wide there were no options for him as he was running out of space so he clipped Harper, the reaction around me was one of groans it was so obvious. Rickie's was totally nailed on.
18. bugger. Future Mrs D_P only gets 2 weeks vacation at one go. Daughter's wedding 4th June - no way we can strethc that out damn it. He was awesome at Glasto as Mikey said - hairs on back of neck standing up stuff
19. GP What this? This not allowed. You do bad things. You no suppose to stand still kick white thing. This football, this not allowed why you no kick people? Why you not run round and round. This not what we agree at LMA in the year. Why you only one yellow card. This very bad for football. NA Yes, I know, ******* magic isn't it.
20. Another big win for the FAPP. What magnificent custodians they are. Still think the next problem will be the Assange style extradition request simply to be questioned, yup business as usual. This week
21. Hang about. Haven't we heard this story before? One of the early rumamafia sites. Move money into a bank Play with it for a while Move money out of bank forcing Government (or Insurance) to kick in to save the real investors Just this time they seem to have moved the concept outside of Russia. Probably still the original Railways stakemoney as well
22. Lol seeing as I mentioned that I was in the Chapel in the build up thread, not too tough a guess! But yeah, the guys around me (not just the TSW's) really were a lot more aware of what we are now doing. Another word I'd use to describe our players and play would be Intelligent. Maybe some of that is rubbing off on parts of the ground at last, no prizes for guessing which section will be the last to "Get It" Agree with Kingsbridge though - you REALLY have to see it to understand. Mates told me what was happening, but you never really believe it. THEN you watch it and everyone says "we've been much better than that" - It's really hard to get your head around how the hell we could have been BETTER!
23. Yeah I hear you on the bank link. It came in just before I legged it over there for the weekend. Haven't had much time myself to follow it up. Been saving the planet this morning at a Green IT Conference (yeah whatever - it was a nice free lunch)
24. Bank Petrobas Could it be a missing link? It was the name that they paid to put on the F1 cars I believe Go google.
25. Hour delay because of fog. In DUBAI! lol Couldn't resist it so upgraded myself on the way home with miles and it just finished off a cracking weekend Thanks for putting up with me! I'm sure that we will have played much better, but for our non regulars & overseas crew, it truly is a shock to see it. Contempt is the word, you cannot call it "confidence" it is more than that - a supreme belief that we are two or three levels better than what we are playing against. What's more I didn't hear a SINGLE moan. Not one "Get rid of it" long time since THAT has happened at a game I've been at. (Oh unless you count the moan about the queue for beer at HT which was enormous so didn't bother!) So my only words are - you lucky lucky bstds
