  1. Sounds like time for RLSGM to replace a tiring Guly
  2. Swindon chasing Shadows. They still going? Hank Marvin must be 80 odd by now
  3. We don't want to go off the boil by going casual. DM going all Sartorial following his Swindon are looking tidier this second half - image in mind of Di Canio getting them to brush their hair & tuck their shirts in
  4. A goooood goooood freee kick there straight from the training ground DM Morgan doesn't convert it tho
  5. oooh handbags finish to the half.
  6. J Quick 2-0 this could be a riot
  7. Jaidi a knee nearly ready but NA doesn't want to rush them as it is a long season
  8. If everyone keeps banging on and on about transfers & Seaborne think we all should, FFS there are enough threads about that already. We seem to be keeping possession but not quite being clinical around the box
  9. wooo hoo too easy for Saints Holmes to Guly with a header
  10. Hmm we had 2 TSW members in town over the weekend, wonder if one of them is Chappers!
  11. I'm here! Happy Daze Weirdest mood I've ever been in to listen to saints keyboard on my lap and sortta floating. I looked one of the meds up & it's actually banned down here - woo hoo Bugger was so out of it forgot to do the prediction league
  12. Unfortunately nothing stronger than Pepsi for next 2 weeks. Mind you the meds make up for it woo hoo
  13. think you got your wire crossed. It was ME that was in Surgery in Dubai yesterday.... I still have all me hair so not easy to confuse us. I can also confirm that he deffo wasn't in the ICU yesterday afternoon
  14. OK I've passed a late fitness test, the meds haven't knocked me out yet. BUT after Saturday we need to make some changes So PLEASE can someone else start the match thread tonight! cheers
  15. Is he talking about standing on the terraces to sing or are the lads off to karaoke on the way home?
  16. What a myopic view of football in England some still have. International Breaks are nothing to do with only "The England Team" any more. Saints are one club who have a high percentage of "Brits" in their team. Many other teams have players from Asia, Africa and South America who all have to fly off on 10 or 20 hour flights to countries where they still have some Pride in their National teams. Sure England players don't deserve a break, but as Saints fans we'd soon be up in arms in a year or two's time in the EPL if we lost 4 or 5 of our players for a week while they fly back home and turn up jetlagged to hell. Just because the England "Club" is now a cosy Marketing Opportunity for pampered players that we have become disillusioned with International football. A good 99% of the planet still enjoy it, and we draw our players from the same planet.
  17. Would love to see Stephens get a game tonight. OK sorry, would love to hear about Stephens getting a game on Saintsplayer tonight Uh oh, it's not a League game. Will Saintsplayer have commentary? Solent often doesn't work online overseas
  18. There's an 840 page thread in the Lounge which explains why we should not break the bank That is before the mental impact on the TEAM is examined of having one player on treble the wages of everyone else. IF we start to become only about the money then others such as Lallana may start to think that way. We are about being a TEAM now, all for one and one for all going on a journey together. Anything that could damage that is insane as we'd end up demotivating players and losing our stars "just for money" rather than keeping them because of the craic & spirit.
  19. Hope I can sit at my laptop OK tomorrow, been in for knee surgery today and feel worse than if I'd spent a week locked in nottarf krap. Need to keep the squad players match fit, would like to see us try something else up front & rest Rickie & Connolly but I expect RL will want to play as does Adam. Time to start the new lads Fox & de Ridder but I guess Fox likely to be cup tied is he? Ain't got the strength to read anything else
  20. Wow, now that comes as a real surprise Not
  21. You see, that's the problem with people on benefits. They've never had to work for anything and have never had the education above GCSE to reach even basic level Business Studies, and so have never found out the definition of the word Bankruptcy. We can clearly see that as Empirical Evidence in their ability to continue to present affadavits stating that they were trading solvently even when they were 100 mil in the red. Dear Muppet. Aviva were offered a number of choices during our Admin. The one that they CHOSE was 25 pence in the pound - note how that was more than you (still haven't paid), they received that money within 28 days of Marcus taking over (any thoughts anyone) and they released the full title in the stadium to the club. But don't worry, I only typed that for our lot, we know you lot can't read and get have to get your care workers to type stuff for you
  22. What a marvelous problem to have this season though, compare that to the Gillett/James/Wotton/Gobern choice of a couple of years ago (alongside Morgan)
  23. But then Hammond has been covering a whole ot of miles and carrying out some of the on-field leadership. Would we miss the "wise head"?
  24. But didn't Chelsea see him as mainly a defender? So nobody thinks that Morgan had an impact on our second half performance then? As for a new RB, think those of us who watched the Academy game will have noticed we should have one ready by mid season latest who looks the real deal
  25. OK, so yesterday NA made a switch at HT and we proceeded to "tear Leicester a new one". Cork went to RB & Morgan came into CM alongside Hammond. OK so we didn't score but on another day could have had 3 or 4 second half by the commentary & reports. Was Morgan the difference? Cork has seriously impressed me in the televised game and the radio commentaries, Hammond has without doubt been worth his place. Was the turn-around down to Guly being given a kick to provide more cover? Did Cork make us feel more secure than with Richardson there? Was Morgan more creative than Cork? Or ws it all down to SGE being a wimp and coming over all cautious at HT? Not having seen the game, but being one who thinks you should have your best players on the pitch whenever you can... What would you do against Forest? Start with Cork & RB & Morgan in the Middle? I would, and with Fox at LB
