  1. Unfortunately some of those officers had worked a 21 hour shift, had 4 hours off and then been pushed back out on the streets. While they are highly trained and we expect them to be self regulating and self controlled they can still in those circumstances make errors of judgement. The brain does that and especially in high tension areas. So one mistake gets made, another innocent by stander or passer by gets whacked by a copper with red mist. Back to the G8 situation and no further forwards. (What the copper on that blog was referring to.) I couldn't understand why the cops marched slowly, why there were no "snatch squads" grabbing looters. A lot of the more sensible (ie non Harriet Harman krap) I have read today (inc that blog) made me understand why that has been the case. The Police have been made accountable (after so many mistakes in the past). Now They account. Unfortunately of late they have been needed to Protect & Serve, it's clearly been shown that they cannot do both. Again another decision for Society. Accept the risks - understand once and for all that if you are unlucky enough to get caught up as an innocent bystander you should just take it on the head or have the PC policing of Sat - Monday. Tough Call
  2. Yep. Interesting
  3. So, basically, yet again the great poopey plan is to steal from others.. Oh not in the same way as before. But it amounts to the same thing. They don't get in enough players to make a squad so what is the plan? Simples, go and beg some PL clubs and get players in "'cos we're poor old hard done by poopey innit" "please pay all their wages and please don't charge us any fees, we'll just give them lots of game time so that you can have them back in January or whenever in case you get short. Pathetic, and may not work this time round if old "arry" has to take a late unplanned summer vacation. Everyone else tries to play by the rules, the fish just have become so ingrained they know they can bend them. Still at least the Refs have started to make them try and keep in the rules. How many Yellow cards?
  4. You have to undo their entire lives and influences to date. The "sub-culture" is ingrained from an extremely early age, I want it all & I want it now. We can make this thread longer than the poopey take over saga if we keep debating the different angles, slants, social, media, music, education, motivation side of the equation. The simple fact is that successive "generations" of Politicans Leaders & Society have led to this sub-culture. It may have 1,000 or it may have 1,000,000 "followers". The simple FACT is that it now exists. It is the Yoof Culture of today in the same way that SkinHeads, Mods, Rockers, NF, and hell, even Donny Osmond fans were the culture of the past. This culuture is different, it is a nothing culture and the "kids" have grown up in that and "we" have stood aside and let it develop. You cannot simply eradicate that overnight. You simply cannot lock these kids up for 10 years "until they mature enough to see differently". You simply cannot force them to work in McD's 40 hours a week. That is as insane as those back in the 60's & 70's demanding a return of National Service. These people have no respect for Britain, they have no respect for it's values or it's identity. They are, like many before them over time, "A lost generation". They simply won't suddenly "Get It" The wooly apologist Liberals & the Hug a Hoodie brigade are as much a barrier to change as the loony lock them up brigades. They have no feeling for Society. To them Society does not exist. The only "cure" is to rebuild those values, that identity and a stake in "Society" And the problem is when "Society" sees Greedy Bankers, Goodwin on a million a year pension, MP's getting out in 4 months after Fraud, Teenaged kids suddenly driving Porshce's & earning 2.5 million a year because they happen to be able to kick a football. Not a single piece of inspiration for ANY of them to change. The Silent Majority are disgruntled, lectured at, undermined, told what is good for them and acquiese. In some ways the kids are revolting on their behalf against the system. The only cure is time and a sea change of attitudes. How about starting with Education is for Society and for you to better yourself, than targets & political correctness. Wring hands, get Boris out there with a brush and sweep it all under the carpet, keep job, appear on TV a lot and forget it all and continue to rape the country until the next time this kicks off - that's what will really happen after all of this
  5. But it is so much more than embarrassing. We all watched in "amazement" as the Arab Spring brought a sea change in Tunisia & Egypt and marvelled at how fast the Governments there seemed to simply lose their "Iron Grip" on their countries. What is scary is how fast "Authorities" have lost control of English City Centres, and to (in reality) such small numbers. 2,000 rioters in Manchester according to some reports - less than a "Massive" of Away Football fans (apart from Poopey's) To have lost control to so few, so young and so quickly is a scary slap from reality that the "Authorities" really couldn't cope with real or organised Social Unrest. Obviously this is not "an uprising" but the loss of control so quickly draws some parallels. These next days really are critical, the so called crackdowns REALLY have to happen and people REALLY need to be rounded up. Because if the outcome is ONLY to restore order and NOT to show that this doesn't "Pay" then what is to stop this happening again and again. Want something? Just go take it. THAT mentality getting even stronger is scary. And also, for the deprivation apologists, how come it doesn't (yet) seem to have kicked off in the Inner City areas in Scotland?
  6. Nice to see the Met continue to take this really seriously. You know that whole "We'll track you down and you'll feel the full force of the law" stuff They've released CCTV images http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2024120/London-riots-2011-suspects-Photos-released-know-looters.html TWELVE of them... Wow, did TWELVE people really cause all that mayhem and outwit the 6,000 Officers on duty over the weekend? No wonder everyone else is still at it

  19. Well at least some of you are getting audio on Saints Player - nothing nada nicht even with the restart IE and then reboot and arrrgghh Nice to see we only have 44% possession,,,, Goddam it that's all I can comment on FFS
  20. Couple of very different interviews on Sky News just now. First one was a restaurant chain owner in Ealing who managed to describe the ransacking of his place and the terror of the staff. The second one was another apologist going on that it was about cuts and youth unemployment and deprivation, and then destroyed her own argument by saying that in Tower Hamlets and other deprived areas there was no trouble & the community came together to protect buildings. Utter idiot. And that clip they keep showing of some kid in an all black outfit (hoodie) just refusing to move, argueing with the police, they clearly trying to be "gentle" he kicks stuff at them - I mean WTF just slap the handcuffs on him, he's keeping some 5 or 6 cops away from where there is trouble.. Didn't that used to be called Obstruction?
  21. Who's that May character? How the hell did she get to become Home Secretary? We Police by Consent. No wonder the place is so fecked up... "Excuse me,Mr Looter, would it be alright if we started to Police you now? No? Ah OK carry on then, sorry to trouble you, I hear there's a River Island store up the road hasn't been touched yet, have a nice Day"
  22. Pah, I took loads like that back in the day
  23. Having been snafu'd by the Renewal system, had to sit and read for a change. There have been some truly excellent posts on this thread, from yourself & pap, thanks made interesting reading (oh and some truly stupid ones trying to link it back to politics & history.) There really is no easy answer to this "criminality". It has taken decades of "Apologist Policies" and "Passing the Buck", and that has allowed this culuture to grow in society. It can no sooner change over night than a fan could change his football allegiance, it is so ingrained now. The solution has to be built around a long lost word in society - Respect. And seeing as Bankers don't respect the poor suckers who's savings they gamble with, the Politicians don't in the main respect their constituents, just their trough and clearly the yoof don't respect nuffink cept BB & FB. How clear today that "Society" hangs by such a thin thread. How tired must those cops be? 16.000 on the streets of London tonight eh? Leaves a lot of other places short if things spread. Very worrying for friends and families Lots of handwringing once again about the causes by many on the telly (and some on here) and looking to cast blame or score political points - ******s the lot of you. Instead of that how about some sympathy or even concrete plans to help the poor innocent sods who's homes and businesses have been torched, people held up in Restaurants and having their Wedding Rings stolen? Families having lost a whole lifetime of souvenirs, pictures, evidence that they were actually living a life? People who's homes had been torched walking around Tottenham having to ask reporsters what they should do because nobody had thought to communicate at local government level or set up any centres to help them (But the top dogs all got on telly to give their views) SOD the protagonists how about helping the victims? Oh, I forgot, it's the UK, the rioters are the victims aren't they. All those shopkeepers and people living in flats over shops trying to make their legal way in the world. It's all their fault they deserve to get burnt out.
  24. Yep same here. Paypal deducted on Saturday.... Guess the guys must be on their holidays
  25. Took the daughter & her fiance until 10"30 to get home from work in Central London tonight. They live out in Essex at the end of the Cental Line. Phew as a Dad. The mess is just opportunism for those darlings from Anarchy UK & the chance to get a new telly from Comet if you had your hoody on. BUT let's face it at the moment the world is a mess, jobs are being ****ed away along with anyone's Private Sector Pensions. The Brits are still paying for the bankers orgy of indulgence & The Germans are about to find out that their future is going to be p1ssed away to save the crook southern med. How long before Ghaddafi & Assad implement no fly zones over the EU as people wake up to what a bunch of greedy morons have done to their lives. Tonight is about criminals in hoodies, I just have a nagging doubt that next time it will be more than that somewhere in EU. Be safe people
