A question to those that did go. I wasn't in UK so was never going. But one thing that crossed my mind is that as a smoker I was not keen on the idea of locking myself away for 3 hours or so and had a similar vibe from a couple of my mates who could have possibly got down to the game. getting through a normal match is not a great issue but that length of time with the gaps in between just said to me "hmm even IF I was in UK I may not have bothered". So my question is - were there areas that people COULD smoke? Simple as I have no idea when next years' summer vacation may happen and I'd like to remove a reason to not go. Cheers

A gifted but not a great singer. Her songs struck a chord with a lot of single girls. I saw her at Glastonbury a few years ago and was amazed she didn't pop off on stage. Too much, too fast and too easy and from there she never seemed to have the sort of people around her who could have helped her. the price of fame I suppose. A tragic loss, a wholly expected loss and a shame that someone in her entourage that no doubt made a lot of money from her couldn't get her sorted out. It was abundantly clear when she appeared on stage down here some months ago that she should never have been back on the road, subsequent events & her concert in Serbia makes one wonder whose bright idea that was. A Sad loss and a sad story A tragic death, and no doubt an Oscar winning Hollywood blockbuster coming soon.

Well of course that is all relative. Jumeirah Golf Estates found sand from Augusta to make their bunkers for the Earth Course. Then we have to go all the way to Al Ain to find the sand used for the Fire Course. We do of course have to import a great deal of our sand for construction, as much of the local sand actually comprises a very rough texture. But otherwise, not a bad analogy

As many may have noticed, the future Mrs D_P rel 2.0 is Polsih. Having been over there & met friends here, I have to say that even over here when I see English Girls out on the "big night" it fills me with horror. There truly are so many really nice, intelligent and fun single late 20'-early 30 ish Polish girls out there. One of my mates started hanging around a Polish Deli in Bompey & he has found an absolute gem. A couple of other sad single mates have since been trying the same trick, cuple of them realised they had to learn the names of Polish beers & have since been way happier. I don't have anything against English Women per se, but somehow they seem to have been programmed. Find bloke, get house, have babies. In the midst of all of that quite a lot of them forget one important word - have a relationship while you do that. Rant over. OK so tonight was the Hopfest in Dubai - our lame (but only) version of a Beer Festival. Lame as in everything is bottled. Youngs Double Chocolate Stout Wells Banana Bread Bitter Trust us, no matter HOW many Ales you may have managed in an evening, NOTHING, I repeat NOTHING yet listed on here is as gross as those two bottled beers. In the name of God, WTF were they thinking. That's it. time for Nurofen and thank fook we only sipped them....... Even that was touch & go into Barf fest land. Dear Lord, never again
