The Outlaw Josie Wales was on telly tonight. What a damned good film that was. Reminded me about Sondra Locke. She seemed to appear in every Clint Eastwood movie back in those days so I Wiki'd her - boy did she screw up her career when she had a row with her squeeze.

Put every spare penny you can find aside and buy shares in Microsoft & Apple the first chance you can. Then mortgage your parents house & buy even more

Sounds like a job for an undercover TSW Forum Match superstar. get him onto the bench, nobble the other 4 subs, come on and take pot shots at own goals & ensure you make dozy back passes to the oppo CF SuperStevieGranty wouldn't work, he had his picture in a paper once. OldNick is still waiting to serve his one match suspension & I wouldn't i) Fit into a shirt or ii) get International clearance.... Any ideas?

Plenty of fake Stoli around. Lots of it sold as "Black market" booze down here by Asian Mafia gangs to the poor labourers who don't have any other way to get hold of alcohol legally King Robert Vodka is genuine stuff but should be fake (they also make Gin & Whisky) Made in the UK (according to the label) and sold over here & a few places in Asia. Without all the taxes it costs 4 quid a litre. It works in punches or with Red Bull, is vile, but won't posion you/ (Compare that with the price of a pint in most pubs here now, 7 quid) Indian manufacturers produce Gin Vodka Run & Scotch, their stuff costs around 2-3 quid a bottle, and is really good for getting stains out the bottom of old tea-mugs. It is vile, melts your stomach lining but won't posion you. With such high taxes the profit margins for people making the fake stuff is so massive; & the whole "got it from a bloke at the car Boot Sale" "buy a bargain" mentality is so prevalent these days in UK, it's a surprise many more people don't get killed by this

Well in truth she is "Soon to become Mrs D_P" but that just takes too long to type. Of course after that, she will become like all women everywhere "She who must be obeyed" meanwhile back on topic, discovered Borders Fresh Cream & Strawberry Shortbread biscuits in Tesco's during our summer hols. I tested one out just now in my 1976 Saints Cup Final Souvenir Beer Mug which I filled with Tea. The dried Stawberries seemed to expand making them much easier to pull out with a desert spoon. It certainly seemed to take a while to fall apart, much longer than the Rich Tea I tried just after but as I don't have any Bourbons in stock (hate Jim bean), I cannot say whether this would have helped Ron's rescue mission

Phew, with all the pending global economic doom & gloom around, it is such a releif to know that the leader of the Opposition can come up with great ideas such as asking for an extra day at work. Burn the lot of them I say, between them they got us into this mess (The Ferals & the Politicos) and seem to all be doing a pretty p1ss poor job of getting us out of it.

Work Permit delays? Ah it's those nasty ToriesLibDems with their new get tough immigration rules that "The City" have so moaned about. No doubt clubs now have to make a formal powerpoint presentation to some Mandarin showing why an imported player is better than an English passport Holder. Clearly the same problem has affected all the big clubs this summer with their lack of foreign signings..... Oh

On a side & purely selfish personal issue, fank fook the first game is on Sky and a late kick off. I don't have footie on my sat system (I'd need entire separate systems for "telly", PL, & NpC each would cost over 300 quid a year just don't see the point) It's also Ramadan, so bars here cannot open until 8:00pm local - 5pm UK, so with the 5:20 kick off the bars will be open and I'll be able to get to see the game for a change. Ain't the same as being able to get to the game but at least it's a (selfish) and small silver lining. Can fully understand those who choose not to go to tthe televised games. BUT I am struggling to understand why the heck English Football needs to start so early in the summer. Considering how utterly rubbish our National Team structure culture and skills have become the excuse of starting early because of the Euro's and inconveniencing the poor ripped off real fans who actually PAY to keep the game running by going to league games is just bo//ocks. Start football when fans are on their holidays just so Terry & Rooney can have a rest - yeah right

In other news, this season is gonna rock. EricofArabia bought soon to be Mrs D_P a Saints Garden Gnome. We went away for a week & he had moved from the pride of place on the sideboard to be found sitting on my bar. Mrs D_P loves him way too much to let him loose in the garden in mid summer here but was seriously shocked to find that Garden Gnomes know where the booze is hidden & that gnomes have a propensity to move around when you are not looking.

PMSL at this thread. The first 2 pages sum up so much about this forum & Saints fans Someone throws a negative wave out there and despite claims from other respected posters people prefer to moan. Jeez

Stocked up on over 30 movies on my trip to Asia. We chose the first one to watch tonight the Adjustment Bureau. Really enjoyable. The chicks will love it as it is a "true Love" Story. The guys will enjoy it as it steals the men in hats thing from Fringe. The stars Matt Damon Emily Blunt Terence Stamp don't quite make you truly believe they sort of look good through it rather than rock as in Inception (Matt Damon) But a good watch & a good adaptation of a Philip K **** short story. Paul, Limitless & The Diplomat in the queue for when the jet lag gets out the system

This Made all the more sweet by living down here and having many Indian friends & clients. Ah looking forward to the next few days for a change. Marvellous effort by the bowlers today blasting the chosen ones out like that on a wicket where we made 544. Outstanding

Vidalia / Tor create a UK IP address for you I ain't got a clue on the technicalities but it stops the IP Address showing as non UK (ie blocks it from the stream/feed/Iplayer) I am relaiably informed that Hotspot shield provides an extremely decent VPN service and it is free ( web site has a zillion pop ups allegedly) of course here it is legal to use VPN but illegal to download it here or promote it. Sorry not more tekkie mate who knows this stuff is on hols so cannot even ask

Been winding a few up - the Fiancee had to travel to Bali on business (it's the major source of that trendy modern art sculpture type stuff that idiots pay a fortune for) & thanks to a massive screw up by her bosses they needed someone at short notice to go as chaperone & help look after the cash she was using for doing her "re-stocking the shop" so I got 5 days of freebie. I'd never been to Indonesia before. So report - Bali is actually fecking big, it is also incredibly cramped around the capital & the main resort of Kuta. TBH it was a sh1tty series of manky roads with what seemed like thousands of arts & crafts "mum & pop factories" almost run in sheds. The amount of pollution & trash was horrific. First couple of days going round I simply hated it. But get away from that and see the scenery, golf courses (holy krap - stunning) and find a beach restaurant with beer at a quid a can and dinner for two costing 4 quid with a sunset to die for I can see why people go on about a dream Isle. TBH though apart from the main beach resort & excellent Bintang beer it really isn't a blokey place. BUT with so many Arts & Crafts shops and "Shops selling girly fashions every 10 feet, a Spa every 100 feet and a full facial or manicure/pedicure for about 4 quid women would love it. In fact it did seem to be teeming with pairs of chicks "doing the backpacking thing". For me? I bought one souvenir Shot glass and found ONE T-Shirt (BinTang) in a size L UK in the time I ws there. And at $200 for a round of golf (which a mate paid as he was bored to death on a family holiday) if you ain't into nature, photography or Volcanoes then stick to Thailand. But I have to say this - spent 3 evenings eating dinner on the beach and taking hundreds of stunning photos of THE most awesome sunsets I've ever seen. Maybe the cheap beer helped but those moments were priceless (well about 8 quid each for all the beer!)

You need to install one of those IP Address blockers, vidalia linked with Tor is one that I had for a while but used up too much bandwidth. A mate uses more up to date and they seem to be fine. When the first version was installed on my laptop it took ages and needed all sorts of stuff typed into weird places, so after the old laptop died I really could not be assed to try and do it myself. I DID get to watch the previous series of Torchwood on it but a mate is a torrent freak and bumbles round with a decent sized USB Flash drive these days to keep me updated & I can plug those into my cheapy DVD on my Home Theatre system far easier to watch than the 17" LCD in my office upstairs! (Wirelss not got enough bandwith downstairs unfortunately!) Another system used here is a slingbox. I understand the concept (stream the UK set top box into the internet to a fixed IP point). Some bars here have it for a back up & a couple of mates have them. It needed a mate with tekkie skills to set up So go google

Just a minor point, for the record, Saints fans questioned the financing of the club immediately following the takeover. Radio Solent ran a legthy interview with Corteses where fans were asked to send their question in. Cortese was asked this VERY question, and he answered it in full and it has been re-posted and linked on here on many occassions. So stop lying, making things up and generally ignoring anything that is linked on here that does not match your own deluded view of your stinking cesspit of a City and it's crooked football club

Yep you have Swann with a bashed hand being exposed to Sharma another whack & he could have been out for the second innings when it looks like we could have to bowl 100+ overs Still all worked out in the end

Considering he was crap for the SL series and a lot of talk about him being dropped for Bresnan, the "kick up the ass" seems to have worked wonders. And fair play to the Indian team yesterday for reversing the decision. And fair play to England for grinding them into the dust during the afternoon as a way of saying thanks

1 Loves me to death (must be mad) 2 Arranges a free blag to go with her on her first ever overseas Business Trip. (It was to Bali buying "Accessories" for a furniture store she is manager at). My role - to act as bouncer & keep all the cash, & play golf with an old mate from Dubai. Think this one is an absolute treasure compared to the ex. Oh AND she paid for all the beer all week. I must have found a whole bunch of 4 leaf clovers somewhere recently to deserve this

I was thinking about this thread today. By a strange set of circumstances I ended up in Bali on a business trip with 4 hours notice. Had to go to Ubud today a home for Arts & Crafts, on the way our dirver was unable to avoid a chicken that was trying to be the butt of a joke by running into the road. On entering Ubud 200 yards later a huge road sign indicated we were on Monkey Forest Road. I went for a walk there and spotted Monkeys being petted while sitting on one of those Asian Statue things that was a Dragon but could have been the squished chicken. Made me wonder, how's the stadium plans down the M27? I promise to post at least one pic when I get home and get some bandwidth.

Lol yep saw one (by co-incidence) when visiting the ex in laws - in Southport no less. Simon Bates. Jeez must have been very early 80's
