Short answer is still no and will not be again this season. The issue is the 3pm Saturday Kick-Offs being shown in UK Pubs Long answer is they show ALL the UK Televised games, so eg Liverpool is on. They also show ALL midweek matches. IF we had a game changed to a Sunday for say European reasons then that would most likely be shown. BeIN do however have the rights to show ONE "Studio" game each Saturday at 3pm. That means we have to check their web site each week. Today for eg it is Chelsea Everton so no go. I was talking to the manager - Mike at Goodfellas 2 in the Ramee Rose Tecom yesterday (They are the home of Liverpool Dubai Reds ) and also has a corner which is Dubai Elland Road. (The Boro - Leeds game IS live on Broadcast TV today so that is two of their big screens taken up. What Mike has done is to line up a probably not quite legal subscription to BeIN Sports Online direct streams mainly for the Scouse games). They were advertising the WHU game as being on today. The issue is it is very "insh'allah" so I am not sure if any of our crew will bother to head all the way down there on the off chance. The issue with them is whether they can feed enough streams to different screens in the bar. You could turn up and be outvoted by a couple of Norwich fans or something annoying. Certainly next week we'll be back on at Barasti at 9:30pm local time. The gang will be there indoors first TV on the left. (I'll be at SMS woo hoo!)

Just back from the largest ever Concert crowd here in the UAE. 30,000 for the first night of The Rolling Stones 2014 World Tour. We read the comments about their UK shows - "You had to go but they were past it" type stuff. I was never a fan of theirs growing up, but was lucky enough to see them in 2007 in Hungary and thought I had ticked an item off my Bucket List. Never expected to get to see them again. Tell you what, they have matured over those 7 years into a proper band now They came on stage 10 minutes early. They played for 2 hours. A greatest hits Pilgrimage that was insanely full of Energy. OK things got a bit meh when Keith Richards sang a couple of songs while Mick went off for a quick change and some probably Oxygen , the first number fromKeith was like really bad karaoke, the second had the Stones vibe and was an improvement. Up until then the show had been really good this was a worrying moment, would they run out of steam... Hell no From that moment on, the last hour was truly sensational. Give me Shelter & You don't always get what you want were Spine Tingling. Satisfaction was not so much a song as a moment in life as they finished and everything exploded into a fireworks display. Crowds here are always far more reserved than in UK, but for the last half hour or so, Dads were headbanging singing jumping clapping Woo Hooo oooh oooh oooh next to or in unison with their kids or even Grandads and the place simply thundered with noise as we sang along and the place went beserk. They head now to Asia & then Aus & NZ. Whatever it takes, go see them. They may be the walking Dead but by Christ they can still put on a show The Wrinkly Brothers in action

No mate. You didn't mention golf. Back on topic. Football has ignored fans since Sky helped create the EPL. Fans are what exist in the REAL world of football - Championship downwards. Now we are simply a target market. We've had 15 or so years to get used to it. The SOUL of football was sold in quiet, but was publicly sold out when SAF took Manure to Japan for a moneyball game instead of putting a team out in the FA Cup. We have been VERY lucky, we had 7 years of pain and reality, AND to the respect of MOST Saints fans we appreciated our time in the Lower Leagues, the new away days. (Unlike those idiots down the M27 we knew we were in the League we deserved to be in) We are in the EPL we are a brand our role is to make the games sound good so that NEXT time the TV rights are auctioned Fat Cats get richer. It is sh1t but that is OUR fault for being football fans. Don't like it? Go watch the egg chaser in Bath or where-ever. rants, protests, forget it. Lambert has decided he isn't going to Brazil & wants to be You-Tube/Pizza Ad star & Lallana has already been sent a Barn Door to practice shooting against by DHL & we are sending Guly a set of Halogen headlamps so he can practice being a Rabbit caught in them. Oh & we have tried to find someone locally (maybe Heineken) who will sponsor KD's coaching badges. I will be passing these and many more comments on to the team directly from the Chapel End in a couple of weeks, will be in town all day. Fancy a pint? Need any Duty Frees? Could be worse. Meh. Opinions are like assholes. Everyone has them. Just these days some people need to restate their asshole every 4 posts. In 37 years of watching Saints I have never seen a single player have a bad game, miss an open goal or the Manager make a mistake in either selection or tactics. Honest, really, truly. Luckily I was able to share the spleen venting with mates and got it out of my system.

Yes agree 100%.... THIS year. Who knows NEXT year. For those with memories, AL was AWFUL in his first few games. Maybe the lads you mention will NOT make the grade. maybe (Like Matt Targett) they will need longer. Maybe we have cleaned out that U-9 team's talent that was on Twitter. Matt Oakley was awful until he was 211 But what about the next batch of U9's? Some make it early some mature later.
