Hmmmmm. I may be mistaken, but I do recall our glorious Leader and Curry Night Organiser Granty mentioning numerous times on Twitter that he was attending a German Football match recently......... Amazingly, one of my pals was playing golf this afternoon. Arrived at the 13th tee box to find none other than Will Smith waiting to play his shot. Pal was having a nice day until I pointed out that a pic of said ex-Rap artist would have earnt him a couple of grand at least....

Old fashioned idea I know but. Clyne was out injured, Chambers came in. Has done NOTHING wrong and is playing very well. Clyne cannot get back in the team... Lovren is out injured, Maya has come in and each week is playing better and better sure as heck did nothing wrong last night. Lovren on the bench until Jose or Maya have a bad game........ ? In the OLD days you lost your place then you only got back in when your replacement had a bad game. Squad rotation has changed that a lot but with a close knit group this year, I do like the fact that Clyne has not got back in the side even though he would help us break down park the bus teams, do think he is a heck of a lot better option at RB for England......

James, Hull, 5 hours ago Best team to come to the KC in years, technically brilliant and each individual works 100% all game. Weak link would be boruc, a better keeper would make a very good team even better. Can't complain losing to a team like that, simply got more quality so fair play saints http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2557080/Hull-0-1-Southampton-match-report-Jose-Fonte-strike-seals-scrappy-win-Saints.html

You lot have been quiet of late? Really? -
I am reliably informed it is "farking snowing" about 100 miles from Hull.

OMG. This thread marks the astonishing achievement of a SECOND Life - Long ambition in the space of only a few weeks! I am now officially a Muppet. (Don't worry there is gonna be a MASSIVE thread about the other one as it gets nearer to September)........... -
Yippee. Back on TV tonight so down to Barasti! Boo. Al Jism (sorry Beanywhereelse Sports) had Technical Issues on Saturday and failed to show Chelsea/Geordies or the egg chasers.

So. A fit, famous and very rich English bird who plays the Violin has qualified for the Super G skiing for Thailand. It all makes sense http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/winterolympics/article-2555729/Sochi-Violinist-Vanessa-Mae-final-training-Giant-Slalom-debut-Russian-slopes.html

Oh Bear - sorry, . Those gigs are FREE, GRATIS, with FREE BOOZE, ALL YOU CAN DRINK, Then they bring in EVEN MORE! Christ, Oldnick in duet with Eric at karaoke would be an awesome gig under those conditions Emirates Airline has some of the best Food & Quality of Wines & Booze in their Business Class on their flights. Grey Goose Vodka for example and always decent Bubbles (The Dom Perignon is for the very front). A 6 or 7 hour flight with all that food and booze is actually VERY NICE. Unfortunately to fly to the UK like that costs around 4 Grand, so unless you are an uber - blagger or work for HMG the plebs have to sit in the back. BUT. Once a year Emirates hosts the Dubai Jazz Festival, and let's you use airmiles to buy VIP tickets - it is 1/3rd of the miles to fly to UK one way but the VIP "Lounge" is open for 7 hours. Ergo for 7 hours (in a land where a Pint or a Short + Mixer costs almost 7 quid) we can sit back and guzzle POSH NOSH and BOOZE. The saving grace is actually that the VIP Lounge is around 90 yards or so from the stage, so it is just this dot wailing away in the background. True Story James Blunt asked the audience "Hands up all those who did not want to be here tonight?" - Every bloke in the place raises their hand. "OK stay with it lads we'll do some rock and metal before the end" And he did. Have to say Jools Holland with his big band is outstanding and I WOULD pay good money to see him or John Legend again.

And we would ask why haven't so many of the City been down to SMS this season. The skates would say "you only had 150,000 on the Common" etc etc etc

So, the 17th hole at this year's Desert Classic is a 325 yard par 4. For the Pros it is a gentle lay-up, before a short wedge into a narrow green that is protected by Desert Scrub & Tall Palm Trees. For us hackers there is always a farking tree in the way of our 2nd shot. Anyway as this year was the 25h Anniversary, a number of special events went on through the week. This par-4 had a prize of US$2,500,000 for anyone getting hole in one. That is a record sum for any single golf shot in European or US PGA Tour history.

There's dancing in Chez Dubai_Phil tonight as Polish hero Kamil Stock takes Gold in the Ski Jumping. I would have joined in, but I was still rolling around the floor after the German Jumper's name was mispronounced. Andreas **** - as all of us know, the W is pronounced Vank in German.....

Almost Human has returned after a 2 week "mid season break" in the US. WTF is that all about? Up to episode 8 now (Sexbots are long gone Bear, moved way beyond that now). Have to say it has held interest up to now as damn good sci-fi buddy cop movie mix, but now that the bonding between the Cop Karl Urban & his DRN has been established it has started to develop the sub-plot that was inferred to a few times in earlier episodes. No idea whether it has reached UK yet or Netflix or Download land, but it really has become a firm DON'T MISS in Chez D_P. Helix has about 6 main characters, up to episode 5, and I have to hand it to them, I haven't got a farking CLUE what is going on, who is good who is bad who is conspiring where and why the Monkeys screamed. When nothing else is on check out the Movie channel for The Light of Day (2012). Never heard of it before - Henry Cavill, Sigourney Weaver, Bruce Willis. Seen it a thousand times before amateur gets dragged into some Spy Conspiracy thingy and has no idea what is going on yadda yadda. But very well put together, great action and location and an enjoyable way to spend the evening when you've had enough of 6 hours of Luge/Biathalon
