Before my trip back for Sheff Wed & Charlton some of my mates were still giving the "yet to be convinced by Adkins" line (you know who you are) What I saw in the matches shows that he has instilled a system into the players and that they have confidence in it. That didn't happen overnight & (from something someone else posted elsewhere) I was reminded of his first few games when he tried to make us play out from the back and pull the CB's wide. That got worked out, we got torn a new a*8hole and to his credit NA saw it, learnt from it and changed things So, from far away I see someone who has a belief in what is the way to get the best out of his players, doesn't let his ego get in the way or try any "I did it this way why are you so krap" of some ex International types and who has slowly won the players over. They are ENJOYING themselves and see it is working. Elite Sport is 80% ability and 30% Mental Strength (ask Rory for clarification of that one!) so you get that 110% every week on the pitch. I was whelmed by his appointment. I hoped it was the right choice, I could see the logic in it, but being a Saints fan I thought it might go belly up faster than you could say Chairman row. It's working, it's great and I am starting to think beyond the "team Spirit" and understanding the level we are at, that we are putting out one of our best TEAM for years

Yawn.... In the Middle East, Westerners are asked to RESPECT the culture of the country they are in. So in Saudi, western women wear veils and follow the rules. in Dubai etc the "ex pat" western women follow the rules out of respect as much as the implied threat of being asked to leave a shopping mall. Tourists - who by sheer lack of any research come across as ignorant "Non Muslim" foreigners do not show respect and end up getting into trouble. The ISSUE is very simple, show RESPECT. Many muslims travel to the West and respect the way of life and institutions, a few idiots try to change them - they SHOULD have been thrown out years ago as would happen down here.
