TV revenue numbers must have gone up an awful lot to make the maths work for a 13mil playing staff budget. TV revenue was estimated at around 1.3mil in 2009. So let's assume it has doubled in one year we've been gone and that STILL doesn't leave very much cash in the pot to cover Chanrai's loan let alone the CVA

Norwich fans must be shocked, they were awful 1st half and the defending for the goals was almost comical. That said the first 15 or so minutes was played at a hell of a pace, made a lovely change to watch real football again after that WC garbage

The wisest post I've seen on the many pages about yesterday. HMRC losing may be bad news for the taxpayer (pah as if I care about that ), BUT it means that as we all saw a year or so ago, it's not the despair, it's the Hope that kills you. For those of us who believed they deserve to suffer (and the officers deserve to go to jail) then this is likely to be a good day as it means the infection in the FL will still be there and it won't have been dead and buried. Another 20,000 posts to come and then MAYBE the majority of their fans will, like Mero, accept they HAVE cheated and it will be time for their pain to end

Hmmm + 2 Meanwhile Lot of you guys have ignored Dickson for LM. He looked very composed and solid in that position in the friendly against Reading Antonio is good cover up front as well BUT IMHO we still need a youngster (possibly a loanee) to give Wotton a fight as cover in CM and I still worry about the CF cover for RL. Barnard is a different type of forward and we'd have to change our style IF we lost Rickie for any length of time, again, possibly a PL youngster needing a few games a season on loan when the window opens in September (Our loans of Waigo & Antonio last season were quality for us - but not really Mellis). Hope this one does come true and the OS isn't just a mistake

Good words Frank, as always. But, at what point does somebody turn around and say - enough. It is clear the rules that were in place to allow fair play were bent or even broken. Not one season goes by without some club narrowly escaping. Always it is the fans that suffer BUT they also reap the rewards of success that overspending brings. Just WHEN will somebody say to football - Enough? The Governments have tried, the Taqx man has tried and yet still football is run like a Monopoly game. Will it improve IF they go out of existance? Will it change the laws? IMHO the law SHOULD change, Officers of the club need to face personal liability for THEIR bad decisions and the Leagues need to cream off some of the TV money to refund clubs who lose out by the football creditors rule being removed. Will it all happen? Doubt it. But it damn well NEEDS to happen sometime. Hope Eric & I are sober enough at the Beer Fest to read the texts about the court result. Will be sad to lose them as a Saints fan, but as a football fan, the rot MUST be stopped somewhere and this really is the moment.

Was bumbling down the M3 on Sunday 25th and of course, since everyone knew I was back in Blighty the Red Arrows hopped up and did a fly by for me. Got some good shots out the windscreen at 85mph as well - smoke on and all that. Of course I told the GF that I'd arranged it for her - standard practice for anyone making their first visit to the promised land... Then said I'd arranged for a Spitfire fly by later. Stone me - we were out for a sightseeing walk around Salisbury when a Spitfir flew over heading west around 4pm ish. It was in tight formation with another plane that looked to be a twin engined King Beech or something taking pics. Was pretty high up but the engine noise.... Any nimby who EVER complains about that noise should simply be shot or deported to Khandahar, end of
