Merrington picked up on that point. In the first half Leeds "apparently" gave them too much space. In the second they got much tighter to them and closed them down much more. So my interpretation of that is that it cut down our attacking options. I agree. But that is the same situation as Sacha. When he was ready to sell that lot his investment was included in the cost of the club because it was in the form of guaranteed loans. ie no loan agreements with Sacha nad no interest to Sacha either.... Agreed, but I think the point came across well that there clearly was a discussion about whether we could make the playoffs IF we spent a lot of money in the Window. the comment about being 11th in the total spending league and at least one of the signings believing it was possible. Corporate Businessman speak about "Targets" led to that idea as well. Still a 5 year plan, would have meant we had more time to consolidate and then build up through the CCC. But no Rift, just disappointment we aren't further ahead than we are.
