  1. Right, now settle down lads, control the game stay clear of injuries or silly cards and let them have a late consolation with the last kick of the game (For my Prediction League standings of course) Hull get the second
  2. WTF is going on, our Centre Half is brought down GOING ROUND A PLAYER in their box.. WOOT Ricky
  3. This new laptop is amazing, no stutters on Saints player so far. When I learn how to use Windows 7 I might get quite dangerous and be able to type more than one post every 5 minutes.
  4. It's so important now that we keep our composure. Page 47 of How to forge a career in Sports Commentary Handbook.
  5. Did you miss me? See what happens when I'm not around first half? I switch on and there's Ricky...
  6. Lol. Oh no it won't... Just revisit that statement - Spilling the beans on the inside dodgy dealings of a convicted Arms Dealer who is bound to have friends in the various mafias around the world, when your motor car & it's number plate have been shown on world wide TV and when everyone knows you live in Hayling Island and your address can be found by a trip to the planning department. Yeah, spilling the beans on The Mob, that'll save his ass....
  7. We're Saints Just as we give up and accept fate, they'll go and feck it up and give us a bunch of what if/if only's. A win today
  8. Has the Tennis started already? Jeez, time flies
  9. Yep, all the way to the security guard at the exit gate:mad: Had to be done. Luckily they never spotted the Emirates Promo Girl in the backpack. (OK that was a joke if the GF's reading!) BUt seriously, those new recruits must be getting thicker, they were handing out the clappers & those annoying cards with 4's & 6's on & I asked "Which one has your mobile number on it?" Oh, none of them, the number's on our business cards. OK, so why aren't you handing those out? Oh yes, sorry, here you are.... 055-buymeabeersometime )to get the 2nd number);-) Hell I thought that line went out the time The Skates last went bust
  10. Whsat a nice day out. 4 quid to get in, and ample supply of Green Cans & Trolleys. Sussex scored a miserly 101 off their 20 overs and bowled Surrey out for about 60 something. Afridi helped the part timers to 138 v Cobras but they reached 55 off 5 overs so as a taxi had pulled in it was time to head back. Couple of useful bits - collected about 20 sets of those annoying inflatable clapper things in Red & White (OK they say Fly Emirsates) but will do for annoying people around us with Flags) The cricket stadium had "A BEER BUGGY". I mean how amazing is THAT, you didn't have to move this little mega souped up Golf Buggy would come round to you. Man I Soooo want one of those for my birthday. You could arrange a Dark Side tour and have them follow you. How much better a round of Golf would be if that had a holder on the front for your clubs and a pipe from the back for the beer! And would love to find out if there's a chance they could convert one to run up and down the gangways at Wembley? Don't get that sort of critical life support innovation back in the real world
  11. Tough call today. Does one pootle around doing all the week's chores that have to be fininshed before travelling next week OR does one bumble 45kms out of town into the middle of the Desert to watch The Emirates T20, with local amateurs boosted by Shahid Afmunchy vs Sussex, Surrey & Cape Cobras in a an all day round robin tournament A day washing cleaning and shopping then reading the post match thread or a day sitting in the sun watching cricket with a beer. Why did I even ask?
  12. IS he actually intellectually challenged? He seems to have to read a little notebook to make his statements, they are always the same... Then add to that Look at the revenues I genersated... Yeas Peter but what about your OPEX? And again, Due Dilligence & Due Care and attention Peter? "Where's he got all that money from? Maybe he borrowed it from his father..." When in Deep Hole stop digging, you have all but admitted it was Dad who was owning the club by Proxy. Proof of your incredible naivety, you agreed to contracts that were open ended liabilities YOU BELIEVED AN ARAB? FFS Chris Ryan wrote about it in his last book I posted that on here. Hell, Urban Legend states it was written in the British Army Handbook of WW2 on page 1. Peter, Peter, EVEN LLS checked out Al Fahim and found out he had no money, you just stated publicly that he's a damned site smarter than YOU. It isn't about your salary, it's about your Corporate Competence. Thanks Peter for putting the record straight and PROVING you are an idiot By his own words, Probably the worst CEO in British Business History
  13. There is of course one thing that would be funnier.... They get to the final but are wound up before they can play Evil, but would have a certain karma to it
  14. Age wise I agree 29-35 at our level. We have some experience in the team and could do with some more wiser heads for when things don't go so well. But I think we can find better ones at this level than those we have. I admire Wotton's strengths but would you not prefer a Wotton with better pace and passing accuracy? Thomas or another Murty? I just think Thomas is nearly a CB but isn't actually a good enough one No idea who fits the bill but I would be looking to see if better was out there, we found Harding, Hammond, Jaidi for next to nothing.
  15. TBH With the incredible daily press statements and the like I am starting to empaphis with CL & ToA's well put opinions. If only I didn't believe that they are TRYING to get would up I would join the band wagon. If I was running a "Make sure we get Wound Up" campaign then all of this is just what I'd make sure went on. And the people who want it would up are the people who gain the most, Sacha, & his buddy Chanrai, leaving everyone else screwed. Which is why I hope they survive and all suffer
  16. Lol of the day! From the TV listings page in the local weekly freebie paper - Xpress Here in the ME, the TV rights are with Orbit Showtime Network. They cover EVERY PL game live. They have 4 regular Sports Channels. One covers PL with Arabic studio guests and commentary. On PL weekends when there are more than 3 matches, all the English Commentary games are allocated to other OSN channels. So this weekend, Wigan Burnley is on ShowSasha (normally Arabic soap operas etc) Everton are on Showsports Extra (Extreme Sports) And yes, oh bless. Portsmouth v Hull 15:00 Kick off is on SHOWCOMEDY Someone down there has a sense of humour - love it.
  17. Ah Avram, another It wasn't me I didn't do it rant. Next up, a fine for fielding a weakened team - 50k for McAcrthy I think suspended Followed by a Bringing the game into Disrepute charge One thing is for sure he keeps this up then two things will hsappen, he'll get banned from the PL for a not inconsiderable time and AA will likely be giving HIM the hairdryer treatment. Great way of building a "Dunkirk spirit" in the team
  18. In all likelihood we probably already know this. It's likely to be the next tranche of Sky TV money that was due 5mil of income vanished into a Chanrai loan repayment possibly
  19. FWIW a small history lesson. About 3 years ago, at the height of the boom years in the economic cycle and in the mad rush to buy Football Clubs, a highly desirable package with strong infrastructure, upside property opportunities came on the market. It was actively marketed as a going concern by some of the best people in the business and attracted advice and support from some of the top names in the field of M&A's within the City. The asking price at the TOP of the economic cycle was 30 million. Add to that the funding requirement during the rebuidling phase (one/two years of high earning contracts being run down) brought the investment figure up to around the 40mil mark. In almost 3 years with an asset book value for the infrastructure that exceeded the book debts, how many parties actively signed an NDA to begin discussions? One. And where did he go to? Nowhere, he ran off screaming (allegedly) at the maths. And that post by Gemmel is as near as damn it the same cost to buy them up the road, the burn rate will be the same or worse and the infrastructure, property upside? Is all owned by other people. Nearly 3 years and never truly close to discussions to buy Saints. Poorsmuff have 6 weeks
  20. I am one ewho wants the rivalry to continue and don't want to see the club die - at the end of the day, our current rivalry and their cheating is but a blip in the reality of the history books. BUT sometimes people advocate "Mercy Killings". I still think that though they will survive, many may wish they had been killed off when they had the chance It's gonna be like having your wisdom teeth out without the meds. YOu know it's gonna hurt before, during and after. It's the how long after that is the key. They are going to be raped and stripped bare to survive in the dream of finding a buyer. And we've done the maths. To paraphrase Spock "It'll be life Jim, but not as we know it"
  21. Oops And so it starts
  22. I did the maths about 10 pages back FC. The only assumption was "They are toast" Simply - 3 to 4mil per month MIN in running costs March & April (Then most of May June & July paying wages with no income) 8,000 max matchday tickets per home game TV payment of 5mil Parachute loan after interest of 10mil "Prizemoney" for coming last in the PL Season Ticket Sales in CCC Player Sales in firesale High earners on long contracts stuck with (see Saga, Rasiak, Thomas et al) It really doesn't look good for them limping into the CCC without a buyer let alone worrying about the CVA.
  23. IF the administrator can run the club as self funding (including his fees) then technically it could go on and on and on and on and on. But with an 80 mil debt? Hmmmm With a charge over the stadium? Which Chanrai could then sell for his money back to a property developer? Hmmmm
  24. The "best XI" players are good enough, but we don't have the cover or quality in certain positions to change tactics. That reflects on a Sh1t or bust decision back in January instead of the careful improvement plan. NC funded it, AP manages it, in their way each is to blame but the manager has to do the best he can with what he has. Danny Wilson would I am sure love to have many of our players to add to his squad, so yes AP is under pressure. BUT he can get out of it, he simply has to start showing the tactical nous in the remaining games when teams stop us from playing.
  25. Oh come on Isn't it obvious? AA knows exactly what any consortium will find when they look closely and what their reaction will be. Nobody to date has really done any careful Due Dilligence, everyone has walked into a well signposted minefield. He walked UHY Hacker into the deal to run the admin on the back of "some promises" on funding. Now he has realised the extent of the mess, and that UHY is potentially responsible for the running costs while in Admin. Either he gets cash in from mug punter tyre kickers OR he has left his Partnership with a possibly open ended commitment to keep the club running. What is it that advert says "Every Little Helps" How hard was it to get a 500k deposit out of our Tyre Kickers for Mark Fry? But it was done for the same reason - to keep the club going
