When starting on a journey, it is important to know where you are starting from, especially nowdays with all your GPS's! The interview is interesting as it starts to build up the details of a story that deep down, we all believe we know. What it does is it to help fill in some of the gaps. IF we sell him for 500k then in REALITY it will be worth around 1.3mil to us as you forget we would have to pay his (still) almost PL level wages. THAT will release a lot of funds into the squad as well as even out the whole salary levels. It is all well to have performing superstars but when you question the value to the team of say a Patterson v a Rasiak, the other players in the team may have an issue when the "higher paid" player has an off day. Saga, Thomas & Rasiak are the remains of a PL style wage structure that would cost us in the region of 2.5 mil pounds for the 3 when other teams have that as their WHOLE wage level, and we COULD spend that money much more wisely these days

Valid OP. I think it is important that we say to the organisers - so you lost money or "so it all went to pay off someone's loans" or the organisers are enjoying their tour of SE Asia with UP.
