5 weeks ago we didn't think we would have a football club. Targets are critical in life but als o have to be realistic. I'm absolutely fine to have a target of "mid table" by Christmas. I'm totally in agreement with the OP, I think it is a complete disgrace that we haven't stolen some much loved superstar from a rival club for 24 hours. The squad is weak, the fitness levels are too low for this league. We are developing a new style of play and new formations with players who haven't appeared to have had any "grown up" coaching for the past couple of years. We are bringing in 3 new players already with possibly more on the way. It will take us 3-4 weeks to get playing and possibly longer to get into teh type of winning habit that Wigan had. Be realistic, and celebrate existence and having a very good season with a chance of the play-offs. Start building un-realistic aims of being top at the end of the season and you will build moans and groans when it is too slow coming and that will start the drip of negativity. This season is gonna be a hell of a ride, sit back and enjoy it for a change and MAYBE leap for joy at the end of it.

Was thinking similar just now. It has been a REALLY long time since we signed a player who was PROVEN at our level and who would be rated as one of the better players to target. Often in the past signings have been potential, many have come off, but signing the leading scorer in the League in which we are competing. Hell yes it's only L1, but compare that to the PL and it is like siging last seasons' top scorer. Very impressive, sure not a KK signing but very impressive. They must have a plan. Wow
