If you get completely stuck, we came up with a curve ball invention a couple of games ago. IF you can get Skype, and can find a friend in a reception area of Solent/Radio Hants, then if you set up a Skype call to them and ask them to put their radio near their PC microphone you can hear the commentary. Not something I would advocate all the time, but we did it when radio Hants went off air for a game and it was a hoot as you can actually conference in other people, all listen and have a mini forum using the chat facility. I'll be back listening to Saintstv today as we all should try and do. Club needs the money and it is "better" than a bucket donation in that at least you get something back

I am sure we once had a thread about this Saints fans historically have always moaned. I remember hearing people moan at Mick Channon because he always fell over Moaning at Alan Ball because he was too old and too slow Moaning at Frannie Benali because he couldn't actually pass the ball to anyone on our team Or this season - DMG Does that make Saints fans any different from others? IMHO no it doesn't. It was one of the first things I noticed when I became an expat, it seems to be programmed into people when we live in Blighty but when you leave... Even over here we see that same tendency in "newbies" writing letters to the local rag. moaning in the pub. It's only when you spend a long time away you realise what the Aussies were on about for so many years = Whingeing Poms So no, we're no different. We've had more to moan about that some, but it's a National pastime and TBH part of our real heritage so long may it continue Now STOP fookin whingeing!

If anyone is sitting next to any idiot that thinks a pitch invasion is a good idea during the game tomorrow then they have a duty to stop them. The FL have already got their knives out for us, does ANYONE really think that their reaction would be any less than a sanction against the new owners of the club? Closing SMS for the first two games of next season would almost destroy any chance of new buyers being able to structure their cash flow, and the FL would love to do that after we shoved two fingers in THEIR face. Before you go to the game just look at the donation thread to see what Saints fans are really capable of and then ask if any of you sitting there tomorrow when some idiots try and run on the pitch should not at least make the effort of pointing them out to the stewards or Police. We HAVE to SURVIVE giving the FL the chance to close SMS because of unruly fans is just bordering on the suicidal edge of insanity, the fans shouldn't allow it. On a slightly different subject sort of Didn't we used to have some sort of "uber-fan" of the year competition? Has it been announced yet? If not, then I honestly think that this year the award MUST go to the two fans who more than ANYONE else have reminded us what the true SPIRIT OF SOUTHAMPTON is Ladies and Gentlemen - Saints Fans of the Year, Roswell Saint & Trousers You gave us back our soul

Substance over form is one thing, the actual law of the land is another. If there is a technical legality issue that is entrenched in the law, then there would be recourse through the legal system. In some ways our predicament is the damned Bosman ruling on player contracts which was eventually fought out in the courts and imposed on a Member's Organisation. Now while we may still be dead and defunct, in theory IF (that's as big as I can make it) but IF the law says one thing and the FL try and say another then there could be a claim for damages. If it's a good debating point on here, imagine how the lawyers are rubbing their hands now Sheff Utd 20 mil compensations against West Ham is one thing but the FL being hit for a compensation claim for lost revenue and the chance to get back into the PL next season if we (hahaha) actually could have stayed up. Somewhere there will be a legal t crossed or an i dotted that COULD give Mahwinney sleepless nights

I think that the work the guys have done is outstanding. I've said all through this I hope we have a new beginning and the old "hangers on" fall by the way-side. IF we get out of this with new owners then the old logic, motivations, positions and many of the legal reasons for the varying groups also become irrelevant. Hopefully we will become Southampton Football Club 2009, the fans groups can do the same. We have seen how amazingly after all the calls, all the sniping and all the speeches that it is often simple ideas from creative fans which can produce a quick result when given the chance. Removing the old thinking and entrenched positions will give that a chance to flourish. Derry I originally hoped you were wasting your time, but I'm starting to think you're on the verge of creating something new here and probably screwing up the rest of your life. But we need it, you are the reluctant hero, I think you and the guys are going to be really busy putting MarkSFC's simple ideas into practice when takeover day comes

Annoyingly I never needed to, a mate held my season ticket when we were in the PL and he was always able to get me the odd ticket when I knew I was coming back. Daft how it only became a problem today as being our weekend I went out for a few hours and when I came back the time difference meant the Ticket office was already shut.. If can't get through I'll try my mate and owe him the cash next weekend when I'm back for the forum match

You know what. Somebody should make sure a photographer is on hand tomorrow to take pictures of those kids going to the game and at the end of it the players should be told to go to them as they get back into the Saints in The Community Buses and they should give them their shirts Then, the whole damn package should be delivered to that smug ass*ole Mawhinney to show him and his political muppet mates what football SHOULD be about. I'm not crying tonight, I'm just angry I can't call a freephone number. Hope I can get through in the morning in time to make a small difference
