Watford 1-1 Saints - First Half & Half Time Chat
dubai_phil replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
How about that we played a WIDE player who beat a player to get the cross in to get a corner and we score... How come we didn't think of THAT one before... Home Team Forum guys - take note! the Skype reception is better than Saints tv -
Watford 1-1 Saints - First Half & Half Time Chat

Woo hoo Found a new way of listening on the web - get your mate to load up Skype, then get them to turn up the radio to full volume and bingo you can hear the game (Solent tonight!) and you can talk sh*t and YESSSSS -
Now that's the second person who has said that today. Interesting, who rattled the players? - someone please tell us it was because they were worried for the CLUB's future not their own careers and surely LC or LM didn't try and give the team talk or something equally dumb?

breaking sky sports news - independent enquiry into accounts

Hmm Quick - somebody dig out ALL those hundreds of threads and posts where we all moaned and groaned about having TWO separate boards, about some people being on one board and not the other. How we moaned that they would pocket two sets of expenses or how we had to pay out extra salaries Gosh darn it even the FANS could see that we were all split up and we MOANED ABOUT IT AGES AGO! Could TSW save the day and provide some additional information? What happened to all the old S4E threads - doh (slim chance is always better than no chance!) -
Did someone say Friday is the new Saturday?

Oh please please please - can't we include those who publicly helped bring on admin by demanding that we boycotted.. Obviously by definition they would know that depriving the club of money would lead to admin so they wanted admin to get Lowe out Oh and also add in all those who said they hoped we would lose so that we got relegated.... Obviously they knew that poor results would mean less fans at home games which would lead to..... :smt073:smt073

Congratulations to our happy band of OFFICIAL ITK'ers Yes, you correctly forecasted a No Decision! They are maltasaint, John D, Scummer, Weald Saint, Botley Saint, Sevvy, Redbul, fanimal and of course those masters of all knowledge - Trousers & Master Bates. Your prize of 10 million pounds in cash with which to purchase the club can be collected by 5pm this afternoon from Mr A. S. E'tripper, care of the airport arrivals hall at Lagos International Airport. Please email him your bank details prior to departure and please note the cash can only be collected in person by showing a valid passport with your user name attached. In the event of non-collection, your names will automatically be entered into a lottery to be added to the Mr B. Riefcase's consortium and you will be asked to sign an NDA immediately Well done we will now stalk you to see what else you know! Oh and a hard luck nearly to down & out who nearly sort of said it as did a couple of others I fell asleep while reading
-
My feelings also, the only way to appeal that decision would be IF Aviva had made any form of offer to settle the debt at a reduced rate BEFORE the admin was announced and that could be proven at the appeal Which means (yawn) months of wrangling

Obviously we'll never know how the mind of Rupert works, but somebody could of course emial Talksport or Jeff Rndall with the same question. Otherwise how baout we make a list of the reasons They thought somebody was going to invest but they didn't They didn't put the PLC into admin, the Bank did They didn't believe the bank said it would happen Somebody else pulled a string and the bank danced They intended to do it on the day of the deadline but the Bank Manager was out to lunch They thought Arsenal would lend them some money Lowe never listens to anyone so he never bothered to respond to the emails from the bank Leon had promised to help The phones had been cut off because they hadn't paid the bill They only work part time so they did it as soon as possible (those are the polite ones I could think of) (any more anyone?)

RUBBISH This is the SAINTS we are talking about We are BOUND to find some weird way to get screwed even more!

No WE cannot. The players will be listed as "assets" Until the administrator has viewed all the actual firm bids and assessed their value and their terms and conditions, he cannot dispose of or make any agreements to dispose of the players. For example IF he decided to pre-contract Lallana to Fulham as rumoured and accept a value of 500k when a consortium valued him at 1mil, it could make his position difficult in regards to maximising value. Mind you it COULD be a problem IF he becomes a liquidator not an administrator or fails to find the cash flow to keep going all week because donations have not been enough, but more likely to be next weeks problem.

One other point... How many times did all the public takeovers of Saints reach a conclusion? Perhaps it really IS better ve knows nuffink

On average It is worse than was portrayed. The programme has not (obviously) made it down here yet, we have to wait for it on BBC World (iplayer doesn't work outside the UK peeps) You have to understand the simple premise that ANYONE who works down here is OWNED, not employed. You are sponsored you are not a "citizen". How you are then treated depends simply on your sponsor. In a world where the simple concept of Quality does not truly exist, and where the concept of "Last Price" is king, then everything has to be made for the lowest cost and the biggest profit. When you see a programme like that and then think that these people have built The Burj Dubai - would YOU want to buy? It is not simply enough to say the "government" does not care, they actually do. the problem is every time they try and do SOMETHING, cause and effect comes in to play. One example was a fire in an overcrowded villa - used by a company to house worked 15 to a room. Many died - result a massive crack down on villa sharing, inspectors sent out people evicted. But then where do they GO? Answer - 40 foot containers dumped in the desert hidden behind wooden fences because they STILL have to build the infrastructure.. Another example - The city has a massive construction boom - the developers have to build the property for the customers who have paid. there is no spare capacity to build the labour camps to house the workers... When they DO build the camps, the sewage system and the electricty supply is not of sufficient capacity to service the camps - result no lighting and a reliance on Sceptic Tanks and a fleet of tanker trucks to dump the sewage. The tankers then form queues which takes 10 HOURS to empty one truck - so there are not enough trucks to empty the sewage etc etc etc. Simply put, it is a disgrace, it could have been avoided IF thought had been given to the impact of the rapid development. The PROBLEM is that the Government THOUGHT they had it covered but then developers built 3 times the density they had expected and three times the speed. Many more stories like this, and that doesn't even BEGIN to cover the mafia style "recruitment agents" operating in SE Asia. Still it's OK you Brits have got Primark and all that stuff is so cheap simply by magic;)

No one should be bigger than the Club and in doing these rounds Lowe is putting himself before the good fo the Club which is unforgiveable. He should either honourably withdraw from these situations or maybe even muck in with trying to find a way out. Going public at this time serves only one thing, to satisfy Lowe's ego, and we've had enough of that over the years. And your point is? Better gone PROPERLY this time rather than sitting festering on the side-lines feeding new Scooby's and undermining our future

My sentiments too. I am willing to bet that a few people have only just realised that in their haste to remove the old "PLC Board" they forgot to issue them with gagging orders/NDA's. Think there may be more than one person fearing what may come out in the wash. But, NOW is the time for the dirt to be dished out. Throwing sticks and stones now will not affect the prospective buyers and in fact may help ensure that no skeletons are left in the closet for them to find. Get rid of it all NOW along with ALL the old hangers-on. I really cannot believe that the club's interests could be served by continual sniping by people with sour grapes over the next few years IF we survive

OK so big meeting this afternoon. Thought we should keep all the predictions in one thread to avoid a serial outbreak of I told you so's across important attendance argument threads! Me - I'm going for "throw the rule book at us", realise it doesn't work but still slap us with the points deduction for trying to take the p*ss relegation and 10 points next season But they MAY leave a small but unlikely legal loophole for us
-
Wow I think you're on to something there. Clearly B und CH Koontz is a relative of Dean Koontz, the famous American Author. Using Trouseresque analytical techniques, the centre of his home page clearly states he is working on a bid for Southampton It states What's new - Dean's latest Comic Project. http://www.deankoontz.com/ Well done clearly he is giving us a strong hint on there even though he has to put up some diversionary details on the actual page, But again it clearly states he wants to take us back to a time before the whole If Only thing started... ........Billionaire Robert Godric invents cross-time travel ......... and he's done this even though his family are no doubt covered by NDA's now

My guess is that he will let his ego drive his mouth in this "ex presidential style" media tour. IF he actually sat back and thought it through, and did some research I bet there is a lot of things that he could say that we would actually be INTERESTED to hear. Such as no, really WHY JP? How he came to side with Wilde? When did he decide to do that and why? What did he say in his Pre-Match pep talks? Why didn't he play Skacel & Euell until it was too late? Why world class catering? Was "The Insect" really his nick-name for Leon Crouch? Where are the Klingons now? What aspects of our World Class catering has Gordon Ramsey copied? etc etc etc :-)

Top article And the whole idea of the club going into extinction because of players out on loan on high salaries coming back when we have no gate receipts is just horrific
-
Spot on For once can we have a thread that doesn't just re-state ALL the arguments between the differing factions - we already KNOW the story, we LIVED through it. We are in Admin, we have the CHANCE of extinction and we have the CHANCE of a completely clean start. I cannot for the life of me understand how anyone who lived through the past 10 years or so of supporting Saints can possibly PREFER ANYONE associated with the clubs demise in that time to still have a hold on what happens to us in the future. First choice - clean break - WISE and professional people with a plan and some funds to match. Last choice - anyone previously associated with the club simply to avoid extinction. Until we KNOW what the choice is - I don't want to see ANY of them trying to influence things or rally us. WE KNOW WE ARE IN TROUBLE, ditch the politics and simply ACT

From the pieces I have managed to put together so far, I think the magical word is likely to be "Due Process". As the administrator is the legal as well as moral custodian I would expect the whole thing to be very strictly controlled by law as to what happens in what order. Probably something like A group has to express an interest and contact the administrator The group has probably got to supply "proof of funds" (ie show they are serious) and then sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (the reason I expect that we don't hear much in the way of leaks for a change) The administrator will then have to give them some form of documentation, something relating to the accounts I would guess and I would expect the parties need to have some form of meeting where each side can find out what needs to be done and whether it really is Rod Stewart :-) With 19 meetings so far to hold even at 30 minutes a meeting that is still around 2 days work as each one will need to be documented and then followed up, then no doubt there are meetings with the "advisors from the Directors Box" creditors and the like. The group must then do some form of due dilligence and I would hope that the Administrators have to as well (the whole fit & proper person test) And of course at some point offers will have to be made, examined, discussed with creditors etc So I guess that Mr Fry is under a severe amount of stress, being assualted on all sides by "people who know better" and likely not enjoying life so much at the moment. And I wouldn't expect to see much happen for 4 or 5 days at least apart from the whole FL points deduction meeting which (let's be fair) would also have an impact on how the groups bidding value the club. We'll likely need more cash in L1 than in the CCC to operate. Meanwhile the Directors of the Football Club have to keep the business running and fulfill fixtures so if we do have a real buyer, they have something to buy, hence all the appeals - all quite normal in "Corporate City Type World" IMHO and all that
-
The club has sensible and serious people looking. I made the point before that the collecting process and any donations was critical to buy TIME. It is not fair to expect people to put in 50k+ and then the fans say it's not worth while. If the team putting the fans bid together could at least explain the ACTUAL bidding process and timelines (or even Mark Fry himself) then the fans could better understand that buying time is still the most critical issue IF this club is going to survive. It is all about the next 5 or 6 days and paying the coach fare to Watford. One thing though, I really HOPE that Leon does NOT sit on the team bus on the way up tomorrow - your donation does not allow you to be there
-
From what I saw in the photographs there a lot of faces sitting in the Directors Box who could be said to be equally able to offer help to the admins... I have NO problem IF Mark Fry has asked Leon to help. But from where I sit, Leon is taking the attitude "I gave some money so I'm able to do this..." That worries me. If he could not get rid of Lowe then he should have been MUCH more careful when he went Wilde - he wasn't.
