  1. He will be on the 7th May
  2. I have wondered what would happen if a senior muslim cleric had been ridiculed in the same way.......
  3. Indeed, a Government Minister doing this at any time, let alone during a bleeding election campaign, shows stupidity of the highest order.
  4. or on a par with a government minister using his mobile phone whilst driving, thus endangering the lives of other road users??? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/election_2010/8643321.stm
  5. So vote Lib Dem then, oh... OK vote Labour then, oh..... So don't vote tory, because their policy on VAT is the same as the others :rolleyes:
  6. My dad used to say: If you don't vote Labour when you're young, you haven't got a heart If you don't vote tory when you're older, you haven't got a head
  7. They all talk about cuts but won't be specific - generally it is not a vote winner, although it is something that is needed. As for the others, Scrambled has already been done: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/newsnight/8616816.stm He got an easy ride from Paxman, but this was before he stepped up on to centre stage.
  8. Phew, let's not only burden the business with the legal responsibility, but lets increase the costs of running their business. So who approves it? I know, lets create another department of 10,000 sandal wearers on £40k per annum just to fulfil this function, because at the end of the day someone else will have to pay for it. You lot just don't get it, our nation is going down the toilet and the only way to get out of this mess is to set the small business free.
  9. It will lead to more checks than are currently necessary as at the moment it is a case of are they elegible to work - yes or no. Under Scrambled's policy, further checks will have to be done on where they are allowed to work. Will it be split by region, county, town, postcode area? What happens if the immigrant is sacked or made redundant...do they have to leave the country immediately or are they only allowed to look for work in the designated region, county, town, postcode. Who decides what region, county, town and postcode should be? Will the employer then be required to notify the authorities (in case they slip under the radar) as if we have not got enough to be getting on with. The whole thing is a load of ******** and even Scrambled Eggs analogy in the first leaders debate was crap too....he said that should Man U want to sign a player, but the tory cap had been met, then he wouldn't be able to sign for Man U. How is this any different to the North West's cap being met and hence the player could still not sign? How about Lib Dem voters as they are in favour of it? The policy is a joke and you know it. At the end of the day, people (illegal or not illegal) will flow to where the money is. This type of 'planned' economy is communism by the back door. If I see anyone wearing sandals tomorrow, I will firmly stamp on their toes. Apologies to any non-liberal sandal wearers, but I'm afraid you will be collateral damage as the ends justifies the means.
  10. That's right, place the burdon of immigration policing onto the small businesses who are already trying to recover from the worst recession since WW2. Great idea that!
  11. Blood-stains
  12. My point related to your point regarding the expenditure on arms and how we compare to other nations. In terms of spending as a %age of GDP, ours is low in the world ranking and when considering that it also supports a defence industry, the true cost of our defence spending is even lower than many other western countries. In terms of the defence industry, cutting trident would not impact that, but you can't say cutting x will save £££££ and we will replace it with y which is uncosted. Scrambled Egg is not being honest with us, is he? Even St Vincent's halo has slipped in the last few days. Give someone enough rope.......
  13. The Blib Dumbs scrapping it will save £100bn over the next 25 years Next they'll be importing French tank gearboxes with no forward gears
  14. But this doesn't factor that much of our expenditure is spent with the UK defence industry (which also happens to be the world's second largest exporter of equipment), meaning that our expenditure is re-cylced into the UK private sector economy. Much of the expenditure in the other countries listed (USA excluded), is spent on importing such equipment from the likes of the UK. Therefore, the overall net effect means that the true 'cost' to us, is far less than the true cost to these other countries.
  15. The funny thing is that the Blib Dumbs are talking about scrapping trident, presumably to win the student vote (and the odd poster on here). However, in the last 24 hours it is clear that they are not anti-nuclear afterall. They want to replace trident with a fully uncosted replacement. Therefore, how can they claim to save £100bn (which is spread over 25 years BTW) when they have not factored in the cost of the replacement system. They have also not considered that a new system would need testing, either breaking the treaty on nuclear testing or building a system that does not work which or could eventually cost even more than trident.
  16. Indeed, 67th in the world ranking and less than notable countries like France, Russia, USA and Greece (FFS).
  17. We're in the worst economic recession for decades and murder weapons don't come cheap you know.
  18. LOL at Millibad. Within seconds of the debate he is trying to spin why Clown is the best thing since sliced bread. Yet, only a few weeks ago, when his own party was trying to get rid of him (Clown that is), Millibad took 12 hours to come out and say basically nothing.
  19. Indeed, Corp Ho's attacks on GM are akin to being savaged by a dead sheep. Keep up the good work GM!
  20. It is clearly a smear, but nevertheless his actions were at best sloppy (assuming he can clear this), but it still smacks of double standards when you are standing on a ticket of cleaning up politics.
  21. Oh dear... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/election-2010/7616526/General-Election-2010-Nick-Clegg-the-Lib-Dem-donors-and-payments-into-his-private-bank-account.html
  22. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/election_2010/8634952.stm Mr Cameron, who has been followed by a Daily Mirror reporter dressed as a chicken, joked: "Now I know which came first - the chicken not the egg." Perhaps he is human afterall
  23. Waterloo
  24. The CEO is Mark Bates, why not drop him an email (you have a PM). They are a direct marketing company based in Manchester. http://www.lbm.co.uk/Home.aspx Yes, they used to sponsor Lancs cricket and used to use Freddie Flintoff as PR at various marketing events.
