  1. Ravenscroft in Bitterne. £35 parking fine, £105 tow fee. Happy New Year from Southampton Council.
  2. Regards holding back fans does it not have something to do with infringement of human rights and is only applicable on police advice when there is a serious concern of disorder? Or something like that.
  3. I would have charged on the pitch and taken them all on but it was raining quite hard so I stayed in my seat.
  4. I used to like Delbert Wilkins but I was about 10 at the time. Nothing else he's done has been remotely worth watching. On a related note Dawn French is about as funny as a 4-1 defeat at Fratton Park.
  5. Anyone over the age of, what 14, whose first thought when we score is to turn to the away fans and shout "who are ya, who are ya" should be permanently banned from St Mary's. These people are more damaging to our fans reputation than a bunch of casuals in Ched Evans masks. How about next time we score you celebrate by cheering, clapping, fist pumping or kissing the bloke next to you. Then sing the scorers name. It's small time ****tery to continually whack out "who are ya' after every goal. You can argue against me of you like, but you're wrong.
  6. His acting as Alan Statham in Green Wing was simply incredible. He stole every scene he was in which was hard to do in such a great show. He's also superb as Jim in Friday Night Dinner. It's the subtle mannerisms and expressions that make the character, which in other hands could be completely one dimensional.
  7. None of those. Just parked on a street where at the time other cars were parked that turned into a restricted zone. I will go and check but there are no signs that I'm aware of which state the area turns into a restricted zone on matchdays, they just flip them 4 hours before kick off. As for mentioning the match on the appeal, she won't. As an aside I'm also slightly confused about why cars can't park there. They don't provide an obstruction, and if it's to do with crowd safety then that's blown out the water by allowing cars to exit St Mary's and the surrounding paid for car parks onto the road which approaches the Itchen Bridge while thousands of people walk in the road.
  8. Damn. Forgot that one. It's kind of my main issue with daytime 6Music. Bung in the odd album track, no one will mind and lots will enjoy it.
  9. Thankfully I haven't listened to Radio 2 since having a job where it was always on in the office. I do though have a soft spot for Ken Bruce and his continual efforts to find a Popmaster contestant who knows the answer to a question about the New Seekers.
  10. Chelsea vs Millwall would be more fun outside the ground than in it.
  11. Plenty of fans never wear colours. I don't and children apart, nor do any of the people I go to games with. Other things I don't do include wearing the T-shirt of a band I'm watching, especially one bought at a merch stand 10 minutes before the gig.
  12. They only ever play 2 Pixies songs. That and Debaser. It's a scandal I tell ya.
  13. This will all be sorted once the club take my suggestion of zip wires from the top of the Kingsland Stand to Golden Grove seriously.
  14. Yes, pretty sure I only heard them on Saturdays when Saints weren't playing. No listen again in those days. Adam & Joe's shows on XFM were amazing. Some of the podcasts are here:
  15. That's quality. Thanks for that.
  16. I used to love their XFM show but now find them all quite unfunny. Stephen Merchant's stand up is appalling.
  17. Rich Hall is a good shout as some have said above. Mark Steel is also very funny live and makes a real effort to tailor every gig to the local area he's playing. James Corden has done well to make himself unlikeable after writing and starring in one of the biggest UK comedy shows in recent memory. Quite an effort that. Read the other day that he's moving to the States to take up the job fronting the Late Late Show. Reginald D Hunter was good live when I saw him although I feel the quality of his output can be somewhat related to the amount of weed he's smoked before an appearance. Steve Coogan deserves a mention. Alan Partridge is a genius character and some of The Trip has been achingly funny.
  18. Probably not. While the cheap tickets are tempting I'll be spending all my spare cash this month on a weekend in Newcastle.
  19. Whatever next, trousers pointing out that people like different things while offering up his own choice which he knows will befuddle other forum users.
  20. Just a mention for Chris Morris because while not technically a comedian in the sense that he never does stand up (or anything much these days) he has made some of the funniest tv and radio of all time.
  21. Parsons is rubbish. He tours big venues and sells them out on a regular basis. I don't get it. Susan Calman isn't particularly funny, nor are Mel & Sue who are the only 2 people in the world smugger than Jo Whiley.
  22. Seen him live, he was good. Also excellent when hosting HIGNFY and that thing on Radio4 whose name escapes me now. Lead Balloon was also funny. I'll add Billy Connolly to the list of comedians I don't get. His habit of laughing halfway through jokes he's told 1000 times irritates me no end.
  23. Fortunately there are some sensible people in the world. A few of them appear to also support Saints.
  24. On the unofficial bingo bus to Swansea last season they put on a dvd boxset of celebrity juice. Nevr in my life was I so glad I had a pair of headphones and a spare phone battery.
  25. Most of these make me want to throw up or at least turn the tv over: Alan Carr Michael McIntyre Phill Jupitus Miranda Hart John Bishop Russell Howard Al Murray People who I'm not offended by and do sometimes make me laugh but I don't understand their popularity: Peter Kay Jimmy Carr Lee Evans Jason Manford Stephen K Amos Sarah Millican Eddie Izzard is in a weird category by himself. I've seen him live a few times and once he was supremely funny, another time pretty good and the last time just dull. As for those who do make me chuckle I'll mention Stewart Lee, Doug Stanhope, Louis CK, Ross Noble, Adam Buxton, Kevin Bridges & Dylan Moran.
