  1. Thomas' goal was Golacesque, although better...
  2. With a chili dressing
  3. Need midfield cover now, I believe we've been linked with a few?
  4. Apparantly it would appear that the referee was a bit of a homer
  5. West Ham £110m in debt according to the new owners...

    NFL

A little underwhelmed by that choice, but it looks like we'll get two games next season. I can see why they've chosen that matchup and I'll probably still go, but it would be nice to get the Dolts or Steelers or Bears over here, and that's from a Pats fan* *non-plastic, supported since '82

Squinny? In what context? I've heard it used in Southampton in the context of whinging/moaning etc - e.g FFS stop your squinnying. Gert I remember using - meaning great, big, exceptional...

On a side road off Kathleen Road, hopefully tucked well away from aforementioned numpties sliding into it. People were just dumping cars in the middle of the road around Sholing station and muddy bottom...

3 hours to get from West Quay to Sholing, Bunny Hill & Millers Pond were impassable primarily because numpties were abandoning their cars so you couldn't give it a decent run up. To be fair it was sheet ice so it was a case of committing to the moment and going for it Based on the queue on Kathleen Road I assume Bursledon Road was blocked as well? Ended up parking the car and walking across the valley to get home...
  10. I'd forgotten just how fast Cyril Regis was. Some cracking goals as well in that lot, remember school on Monday and everyone trying to do a Golac. Similar to Harding's goal recently...
  11. Last time I was there I had the best steak of my life in one of the Uruguayan/Argentinian steak houses. Bit hazy as to where, it was off one of the squares south of Dam square about 5mins away on the tram.
  12. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/TicketNews/0,,10280~1915680,00.html "Should Southampton progress to The Final at Wembley, as already promised Season Ticket Holders will be eligible to buy two tickets each. After this sales window has passed, preference would be given to supporters who have attended the Area Final first (subject to availability) and they would be eligible to one ticket each again, subject to availability."
  13. We need them like Kirsty McColl needs Shane McGowan in FairyTale of New York. Personally I'm revelling in their plight but would hate to see them gone for ever. A club needs a rival, can't summon the effort to hate Reading or Bournemouth or Brighton. I know a fair few Pompey fans, some of which I would class as mates as long as we never talk about football. Then, despite the fact we've known each other for 20-odd years proper hatred and revulsion (from them) rises to the surface.
  14. OS states that all season ticket holders will be able to buy 2 tickets for the final. Preference will then be given to people who bought tickets for the home leg of the area final. How many STs did we sell this year? Not clear whether this will also apply to 1/2 season ticket holders... Oh and Sandwich, tickets for the leg @ MK will be announced soon, going to be live on SS as well...
  15. 24 hours on and still buzzing!
  16. Liverpool 3-3 @ The Dell The Wolves cup 1/4 final, was just a great atmosphere of togetherness, similar to last night Beating Liverpool @ Anfield in 96/97 Abide with Me @ Cardiff, and being so proud of my team at the end Dellhurst Matty against Arsenal (complete blank of the last few minutes and then on the pitch) Getting completely hammered on the last game of the season when Man U won the title against Boro, was that when we stayed up on GD over Man City? 95 or 96. Was in a pub in Nottingham and remember absolutely nothing, ended up checking teletext at 4am to confirm we'd stayed up. One of those being a Saint on foreign territory moments.
  17. Best £8 I've spent since Nadia in Bucharest Best equaliser since Marians vs the Scousers Best night at St Mary's since we beat the Skates!
  18. Was awesome Proper spine-tingling lump-in-the-throat tear-in-the-eye stuff
  19. Excellent. Looks like it will cover all the way from Gillingham to Torquay and I assume as far north as Oxford, Swindon, and Brizzle so that's quite a few teams...
  20. Perceptive too about the support - it was a bit flat against Wycombe I thought. Very quiet for a night game and for some reason I couldn't be arsed to sing and that was the same for a lot of people around me who normally do as well...
  21. Easy to teach them pens and recreate the pressure using Le Tiss' method - get them to stake a week's wages on each kick. They like a gamble, that should do it.
  22. Muffingate was a little bit of handbags in Bar Med in Bournemouth: http://archive.hampshirechronicle.co.uk/2004/11/23/17279.html Great player for us but we don't need him now. Couldn't play him and Ricky at the same time...
  23. You can download the whole programme I think Or it might just be that your computer isn't up to streaming it.
  24. Transfer in January to a higher division team
  25. Probably nothing, pretty happy with life at the moment. Actually, no - I'd have got into less debt in my late 20s/30s which would have meant I'd have bought a house earlier and be almost retired by now. It bought some cracking times but ultimately credit cards are ****ing evil...
