  1. Just cheered out loud for a goal watching two neutral sides from my settee at home 😀 How I'd love to see Everton go down.
  2. Current odds for them to be promoted on PaddyPower....175/1. 🤣 Looks like our post-Covid 2 division social distancing from The-Smell-with-the-Bell is secure for another year.
  3. Just been looking at remaining fixtures. If Burnley can beat Everton tomorrow I reckon that's Everton down (for once, realistic wishful thinking). Can't see them getting another point from their remaining fixtures. They still have to play Watford but even that game I can see Watford having the dogfight experience to take all 3 points. Burnley's fixtures look quite comfortable in comparison, should be capable of 3 or 4 clean sheets as a minimum.
  4. Hadn't Kat already converted any outstanding loans due to her into equity before that?
  5. Has he only just realised? Or has he only just remembered he was ever here - something he usually conveniently forgets Echo story HERE Don't think we need a poll to see if the majority agree with him.
  6. To this day I can remember then sound of Mark Wright's leg breaking in the collision with Shilton in the 86 Cup semi final. He mus have known before he'd even left the pitch that was his nailed on trip to the Mexico World Cup over. But can you imagine him asking not to play in that game "just in case"? Not in a million years. For RH to have even mentioned Jan's "request" there must have been serious ructions behind the scenes over this, the equivalent of Jan signing his own death warrant with the club. Unfortunately if other clubs are now aware of his weak mindset and/or loyalty it may affect his transfer value

Don't beat about the bush, tell us what you really think 😳 Did this guy run off with your missus or something?
  8. I'd imagine in those circumstances The FA/UEFA would sell the Chelsea allocations direct to the fans.
  9. Ah that's it. Wouldn't put it past Everton to attempt some bribery if it's needed to stay up. That last day survival game against Wimbledon back in the 90s looked well dodgey.
  10. I'd love to see them drop. Aren't they the only team that has never been relegated (or only ever played in) the top flight? Edit: Answers own question - no that's Arsenal
  11. Let's not forget every time we beat or do well against the big boys according to the media it's always because they have an off day Yesterday was our off day, to be fair were due one and I'm happier it came yesterday than last Wednesday. Draw a line under it, and let's get back to where we left off against Sandcastle this week.
  12. Well we all said prioritise the cup now. But we meant rotate the squad 50%at a time , not play the first choice XI at 50% effort.
  13. 2004 Harry and Jim - way too experienced to let us go down. And leaving Pompey for us? We can take the piss out of them for years for that one. 2010 Pardew replaced by Adkins? Who? Well that's a step backwards. 2015 Sadio Mane is just a joke player. Doesn't look like he can even control the ball when he's running with it, only goes past defenders because they have no more idea what he's doing than he does. 2/3/2022. What sort of a fucking line up is that? Should be concentrating on the cup not throwing games. Can't even be arsed to watch now. I can be wrong sometimes, just don't tyell the missus.
  14. Stephens (who seems more and more important as a "club man" with every performance) had his arm around him at the end and was pointing animatedly downwards towards the pitch. Maybe wishful thinking but I interpreted it as "this is where you belong now, you have to stay"
  15. I thought RH said something along the lines of wanting to but these things not always possible to arrange with the opponents. Not really sure what he meant as it won't clash with any of Wham's 3 kits. He did say we'd definitely wear it against Villa though.
  16. Che Adams from the the Midlands But he wears a Scotsman's hat When he joined us we all thought Who the fuck is that? Then he chipped Man City From the halfway line Now he can't stop scoring Che's turned out just fine .... and repeat.
  17. I'm sure he does, reputedly he knows everything, but unfortunaley he's not so forthcoming in passing on his knowledge. So while you await his divine revelation on the subject why not just read the thread, it will be a hell of a lot quicker. Spoiler: As mentioned many times above, no it doesn't.
  18. By the law of averages there has to be one game when we create loads of chances and actually convert them all*. Not saying it's going to be tomorrow but the 8-0 Sunderland game does seem a long long time ago now. *Then again I say that every season
  19. When we finish top 4 in 23/24 he's not going to walk away from a CL campaign
  20. To fair, based on the last half of last season and assuming we still took Broja on loan can't see he'd have played much more for us this season. Probably still ahead of AA but sadly think he is now living on past - relatively short lived - glories. Never the same after his covid, wonder if AV got his medical done on the cheap, concentrated on his knee and overlooked general fitness.
  21. Are you getting confused with when they signed Andy Carroll?
  22. Mysteriously taken ill during the warm up and is now out. Hopefully the stadium cat has pissed in his water bottle or something.
  23. I guess we'll never know if RH surviving the two 9-0s was down to those making the decisions having total faith in him or because the club couldn't afford to replace him, but we can count ourselves grateful he's still here. Stability is everything (remember those days when we had 3 managers in 36 years?), it's taken a while but the last few months has seen the team performing at it's full potential and still improving game by game. We've seen nothing from the new owners yet to suggest any changes have been made by them, but their arrival (or Gao's departure) seem to have given the whole club a new lease of life. Now if we can just persuade RH that 58 is way too young an age to be considering retirement ....
  24. This is the match thread. Swapping Panini stickers should be kept to the Buy&Sell forum
  25. FF🤩👏 Can we call off our search for a new keeper yet?
