  10. looks like the Football League putting the blame squarely on Pinnacle http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4467910.Football_League_hit_out_at_Pinnacle/?ref=rss
  11. Quote from Daily Echo on Twitter "There is no #saintsfc press conference scheduled for 2pm today. If there is, no one has told the SFC press office!"

    Timescales

Weren't Cup replays changed from the same week years ago to 10 days later because police needed longer notice that games would take place.? Is there a cut off date with them for a fixture to/ not to take place?
  17. Hopefully now it's been said publically SSN, BBC etc might start asking the FL a few questions they would prefer not to answer
  18. Not sure of the spelling, but my most hated man in football has always been Rudi Glockner (?) Referee in our second leg cup Winners Cup tie versus Anderlecht. Never in all my time watching football have I ever seen a referee so determined a team was not going to win
  19. Still get a numb feeling all over every time I hear it .

  21. You think Liverpool are in trouble? Take a look at this article about Newcastle. http://www.twohundredpercent.net/?p=1549 Looks like they're ****ed whichever way they turn !
  22. Clever man :-) I that post reads true he's telling us what he's told the press including the "how confident are they (the FL) that it was the correct decision" bit All he's doing is asking the question, no making any accusation, but now phrase is going to be all over the media- leaving the FL little option but to grant our right to appeal or have the whole football world assuming they are covering up their mistake.. Clever clever man :-)
  23. Wondering quite how serious this could end up being? If as we are led to believe Pinnacle have 3 sets of lawyers all agreeing we should not have had to deductions. If the League refuse our right to appeal and/or refuse our entry into the league then surely a court case will follow (restraint of trade, deliberate interference , not sure of the legal terms it would come under). If that was to happen could the FL even risk allowing the forthcoming season to start without us until a court case has been decided?

    The Saint

Even back when it WAS The Saint they had to cut back on their Saints related output as they were in breach of their licence which was for a local station with news and music. So not much scope for increasing the Saints stuff unless they applied for a brand new licence.
  25. As I've posted on another football site ... As a Saints fan I also feel a "moral duty" to take the 10 point penalty. BUT rules are rules. Southampton Leisure Holdings Plc are in administration. Southampton Football Club Ltd isn't. SFC Ltd doesn't owe anyone anything although they are going to have a very tough time getting through the summer if an investor doesn't step in soon. SLH wasn't JUST the football club. It owned radio stations, retirement homes, insurance services to name but 3 other interests. One by one they were all sold off or closed as they were making a loss. It could turn out that the Leagues forensic accountant could possibly find that the football club was subsidising those other operations over the years. Either way we'll be relegated this year -we simply aren't good enough to stay up.
