Shame, but we've had his best years. He is in danger of ending up like Lambert - chasing an illusory dream. At least for Lambert it was to his boyhood club.

I've been brainwashed...

No what you should be embarrassed to say is that you have misread / misreported what the Telegraph wrote. They are trying portray the EU as doing something nefarious - refusing to disclose the nett pay of its staff. Of course they wont. No employer or Government, including the UK government would do that - it would be a massive illegal breach of confidential tax information. These lame attempts to bash the EU do the Brexit cause no favours. "Ooh they pay 10,000 staff more than the PM" - err no they dont. "Oooh they wont tell us what the take home pay of staff is" - no **** Shurlock? If that is the best you can do, then Brexit has nothing.
-
lol. You love lapping up the Telegraph nonsense. They had to really massage the figures to try to justify that claim - by scouring across 27 countries, claiming £83,000 pa is really the same as Cameron's £142,000pa by using only take home pay rates instead of gross and then adding in all accommodation allowances, but ignoring the PMs free houses. By contrast 10,000 public employees in just one country, Britain, really do earn more than the PM . https://www.thebureauinvestigates.com/2011/05/24/public-sector-spending/

Nothing wrong with a half windsor.

I could have phrased that better. I was ridiculing the Brexit argument that anyone who wants to stay is just a 'remoaner' - regardless of how experienced they are or how informed their position.
-
No no. Its not because he is a seasoned heavyweight in EU negotiations warning of "ill-founded arguments and muddled thinking" - its because he's a remoaner. Facts and insight on one side, moaning on the other. Only one logical choice...

Good programme. Thanks for posting.

I see the swamp draining is going ahead apace. What is the first action of the new Trump emboldened Republican house? To make it much much harder for them to caught in fraudulent, criminal or otherwise unethical behaviour. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-38494455

He is the head of a union which 19,000 senior civil servants pay to represent their views. If they didn't like his work presumably they wouldn't be members? I'd imagine his views chime not with everybody but with the majority feedback he is getting. Clearly however you believe you know better than him what they think, probably better than the civil servants themselves.

err. Penpusherman represents Civil Servants who cannot speak directly to the media - ie he speaks on their behalf.

Smirk. I'm glad you know your place. Chosen by who? What mandate is there for anything beyond 'leave'? then what?

Homelessness has far more to do with mental health issues and the inability to take medication regularly and manage money (pay rent, budget for food etc) than the availability of housing or jobs. Up until the 1980s a lot of people were simply warehoused in long stay institutional mental hospitals. Now those have all but closed for 'care in the community.'

Regardless of in or out, stay or leave I genuinely don't think May is up to it. She keeps talking like a petty dictator - acting as though she has a mandate to do whatever she wants, and then immediately getting slapped down by the courts, other ministers and business. Much of the opposition to leaving is avoidable and down to her refusing to say what the plan / end game is. You must do that in a democracy - especially when you weren't even elected. I want to stay but if she had said at the outset "it will take us 10 years to leave so we will do it in two stages - technically leave in two, fully leave in 10" it would have been a credible plan. Instead we've had the nonsense of 'we can dictate terms and have trade deals with the world lined up in two'. I dont think she has the leadership qualities needed - the authority and and sense of purpose. Atm its looking as though whatever deal is struck, leave or stay, is going to be messy and badly thought out.

He left before he was deported. I can imagine your bleating on here if people who wanted to leave the country at their own cost upon release from prison were instead held here for months whilst deportation was arranged and eventually flown home at the taxpayers cost. -

What do you suggest instead? Criminals are gassed just in case they go on to commit mass murder? -

By "getting away with" you mean being jailed for four years in Italy and then ordered to leave the country upon his release? -
Whitey! I was afraid you were dead! Happy Christmas! You been on the Egg Nog GM? Happy Christmas to you too.

FFS Goaty, you've been hanging round with Pap too long. Thats a conspiro website. You might as well have read it on Info Wars. The White Helmets were founded by a former British army officer, probably at the behest of the Foreign Office. The idea that they are all secret jihadists is just a good indicator of who's credulous.

Same way the IRA used to waltz across the NI border. Are you suggesting every country should have a Berlin wall around its borders with a shoot to kill policy? Could be tricky building it up Mont Blanc / Monte Bianco dont you think? Reality is that you can have the immigration system Britain has - strong border controls and almost no ID checks on people when they get here. Or easier movement across borders but be subject to regular ID checks once in country. It was the Schengen approach which caught him. Its highly unlikely he would have been stopped for a routine ID check in Britian . -
Assuming you follow the instructions properly and use good quality ingredients / kits is it any good? I mean do you drink it and think "wow thats a good pint" or is it just passable, stuff you only drink because its cheaper than the pub?

There is a famous Abraham Lincoln quote which could have been made for this post. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/groups-of-ultra-orthodox-jewish-men-keep-delaying-flights-by-refusing-to-sit-next-to-women-9949866.html
