  1. Behind the TPP (12 countries) and TTIP (28 countries) both of which have been years in gestation and have a long way to go yet. But Im sure you're right, we'll be a higher priority than them.
  2. Written by a British leave Tory.
  3. Farage and conspiro weirdos. What could possibly go wrong? We're going to end up staying in all but name, and on worse terms than we had, having suffered major damage to our reputation and economy in the meantime. What a cluster****.
  4. Thats what leave tried to imply. Glorious Britain leading the charge to save Europe. In reality no other country is going to leave. We're on our own, with everybody else thinking what a bunch of tossers we are. http://whatukthinks.org/eu/eu-questions/if-there-was-a-referendum-on-frances-membership-of-the-eu-how-would-you-vote/
  5. Oh do fu ck off
  6. and all so we can take the Norway deal. Aint independence sweet.
  7. You must be pleased you and Icke share the same thoughts though.
  8. Admirable loyalty f'sure - but a more sensible option would have been to create an additional job and get the better manager in.
  9. Five years as an EU citizen or from outside?
  10. You could probably still claim permanent right to remain by getting small house there and pretending to live there more than 50% of the time - as long as you're quick obviously.
  11. There is a very definite split emerging with Merkel and Estern Europe being more conciliatory and France / Italy / Spain etc as you say wanting shot of us asap.
  12. Apart from Farage the leave leaders dont even want to go, they thought they could use a result as a bargaining chip. They are praying Merkel comes to their rescue and offers an olive branch. Leave managed to con some people into thinking they were getting independence. In the autumn or next spring there will be a general election with two new party leaders armed with some kind of compromise with the EU. That compromise will be adopted overwhelmingly. In the meantime huge damage has been done to Britain's economy as a safe stable place to invest.
  13. Yeah people can react badly to bigotry, deception and stupidity.
  14. Yep very good. some we knew before but a lot was new information. The choice of next Conservative leader could have been done a bit better - I would have liked to see David Davis on the list
  15. A naturalized citizen. A first generation immigrant.
  16. Two Brit immigrants to France bemoaning immigration and how the French should crack down on it.
  17. Companies with factories in Britain: BMW down 7%, Honda, Nissan, TATA (Jaguar) and Toyota -8%. LOL, LOL, LOL
  18. Is this your preparation for a sad 'Brit living in France knows more about France than a French citizen living in Britian ' argument?
  19. Its basic stuff that seems to elude so many people. Employers gave a choice, its our job to make sure its suits them to be here more than somewhere else - especially high wage jobs like Morgan Stanley. A secretary I used to work with left to go to Morgan Stanley - £60,000 pa as a PA in 2003.
  20. More like the French have created immigration problems for the EU by massive numbers from Algeria and the overseas French departments like Guadeloupe and French Guyana.
  21. It'll be the first of many. At present many companies have the UK as their European HQ. There will be a lot of job losses as companies move operations and downgrade us to a national office. Friend of mine is a lean manufacturing consultant. He knows of several clients who paused investment pending the decision and will now likely cancel.
  22. Dunno, its odd. I watched a Forbes programme a couple of months ago and they were talking about the risk of Brexit casting a pall of uncertainty over global equities. I was surprised it had that wide reaching effect
  23. Wes, thats exactly why you're pretty universally marked down as ignorant. You have contributed nothing to your current healthcare or pension. There is no big pot of money saved up with your name on it. When you were working you paid a much smaller level of taxation to pay for a much smaller level of provision for the people who were retired and sick then. Now, as Carney says, you are reliant on the generosity of strangers - mostly young people who got none of the baby boomer benefits, pay 45% of income on rent, have stagnating incomes and are often worse off than the people they are supporting. .
  24. Jibes about subsidies are a bit ironic from the elderly, healthcare and pension sucking Brexit generation.
  25. Me too. My Dad was from NI and I'll get an Irish passport for myself and my kids. I want free access in Europe and for my kids to have that opportunity when they're older.
