Clapham is really expensive. Somewhere like Hampton is decent, close to Feltham and train station for access into central London.

How much do they pay you to not kick the tramps?

People's behaviour on the net is becoming more and more detached from what they present in face to face contact. A lot of people just seem to use it to indulge the obnoxious, aggressive, deluded or weird parts of them society doesn't give the time of day to.

You might want to work on the virtual image you give out

Such cases will always happen on any public service because you are dealing with vulnerable people whose wider situation is often making them depressed. I used to work in substance misuse and mental heath. People killed themselves regularly, sometimes by big public displays of angst but most often quietly with pills or a needle. Ive always looked after my kids half time and paid for half their needs plus an additional contribution because I earn more than their mother. A couple of years ago unknown to me she quietly asked the CSA to make an order based solely on my earnings - ie the amount she would be entitled to if I hadn't been paying anything. It took them 18 months to do it and they never contacted me except to ask for wages details, which I sent. Out of the blue they demanded £4,900 in 'arrears' which was payable 'immediately'. I disputed the payments but was told that since there was no error in their calculations and the amount I had already paid was 'voluntary' (and btw I was stupid for having an amicable deal with my ex), I owed the money. I appealed and was offered compensation for maladministration but still owed the 'arrears' . I offered to pay the amount off at £200pm (in addition to the new £350pm order). I heard nothing. Two weeks later I was in Sainsburys with the kids whilst their mother was away for her fifth holiday that year and my card bounced. CSA had taken £4,900 in one go. It was a Friday night no money no food and two hungry kids. I had to borrow money from the neighbours. On Monday the CSA told me that it was 'tough' if I had no money to feed the children who interests they were supposedly working in. Only my bank Barclays showed any interest in helping - giving me an overdraft immediately and reversing the payment within two days. If you give staff in benefits systems flexibility about making special cases, because they are human and mostly empathetic, they will - often. Everybody with a sad story, and most are sad, will end up getting 'more'. So instead you have a rules based system with almost no flexibility and you get instances where people are treated disgracefully.

Либерал-демократы прохладно?

I agree with the need to eliminate the deficit. My problem with the Tories approach is that they treat it as just an expenditure problem. Its not, its a lack of government revenue too. Now the economy is recovering they should be raising taxes.

Did you post that to remind everybody how much less Labour borrowed compared to the Tories?

Gods eye view of Heaven's rest room. Theres so much sand in that pitch you can see it from a plane

I think PR could help change that point scoring career politician mentality we have at the moment. PR would see more MPs from small parties elected, possibly even independents, leading to a greater mix of backgrounds and 'real life' experience. It would help break the ability of Tory and Labour party leaders and whips to buy unprincipled voting and servility by promising jobs in future governments.

Theres nothing wrong with coalition, there's just problems with this coalition. Currently you have two not especially able leaders governing during a time of budget cuts and weak growth. If they'd been in government during a boom everyone would be saying how well it worked.
-
Thats a nonsense argument akin to 'because the alternatives aren't perfect we should stick with the worst option'. The various forms of PR represent the wishes of the electorate more accurately than first past the post. The only reason it hasn't been adopted is because it doesn't suit the self interest of Labour and the Tories.

At uni my flatmate had a girlfriend who put on makeup like that. See her in the morning barefaced and she was stunning. 30 minutes in the bathroom and Coco the family entertainer emerged.
