I went to Russia in January once without really understanding what 'cold' meant. Everybody had furlined hats and boots I had a cheapo parka no hat and DMs. It was -26c one day but warmed up to -16c. Is this the right thread for that? -

Brave heart salmond announces his vision for Scotland

Promising jam and honey, all the good and none of the bad is easy. Its all too Pollyanna to be credible and personally I think support will gradually ebb away towards polling day as the difficult questions are posed. Its a pity because you can make an economic case for Scottish independence based on whisky, oil & gas, tourism, offshore wind and IT. -
Oddly enough there is a massive difference between keeping hamsters in captivity and trapping 9m metre whales which normally roam thousands of miles a year in featureless tanks - the biggest in the world of which is only 30m x 30m x 15m. It is untrue to imply there are much bigger and better holding tanks elsewhere - what you see is what they get. In the wild they live 70 years plus, in captivity an average of 8. These animals have brains around 7 times bigger than an average human, much more than 7 for the kind of people who go and see them forced to leap through hoops.

I had a really heavy cold with sneezing like that a few weeks ago.

Not necessarily. Prisoners like that are normally segregated from the main prison population for their own safety and end up on dedicated wings with like minded mates. -

So from “With the economic problems in Spain, La Liga is a very fertile market" the Sun have deduced "Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino will raid old club Espanyol for defender Javier Lopez". Top work.

Nah. My wazz is at no1 and 2. Your wazz is much less popular. Oddly enough their wazz at no3 is what I'd call wizz. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=wazz -
Its an obvious easy story - manager of a team which is overachieving linked with job at expensive team currently underachieving.

I prefer the word 'rainbow' -
I have no problem with it in general, but you don't expect it in the family centre. Last season there were blokes, apparently without any kids, using every word going. The aggression as much as the words is what has put my 8 year old daughter off going.

How can a grown, healthy, sober man not get to a toilet in time for a wazz. Its not like it creeps up on you suddenly. -

Badgers and bears, the ****s - nearly half the posts are from them. Anyone who posts on this sorry excuse for a thread is a muppet. -
I see the word 'clown' was used on this board. That is the correct description. The poster doesn't belong in a premier league team messageboard.

Global warming really is happening... (well, duh!)
buctootim replied to 1976_Child's topic in The Lounge
$73bn pa to mitigate global climate change? That would be 0.1% of global gdp in 2012. Britain's share would be £1.6bn ($2.4bn) - a lot less than the £5bn subsidies paid to farmers so they can buy stuff like herbicides. Also a lot less than doing nothing and allowing runaway climate change to take hold. The global aviation business has revenues of $600bn pa, oil & gas industry around $4.8 trillion - about 60 times more than the costs of mitigation. Even at current levels the UK's air passenger duty raises £2.8bn pa - enough to mitigate climate change and pocket the £1.2bn change. -

Pretty good. Without the Boruc goal and Loveren playing it could have been a very different result.
