The fact it was a room full of women proves it was a 'joke' with a lack of malice imo. If it had been a room full of men it would have been very different.

Ive got no time for UKIP, but they were stitched up. The guy is an old crusty who was using 'slut' in terms of being slack on housework when making a joke about cleaning behind the fridge. Its a good example of why we now nearly exclusively have only career politicians who speak only in soundbites. Anybody says anything even slightly off message and there is a huge wailing and gnashing of teeth.

JSW in Petersfield and the Terrace at the Montagu Arms Beaulieu are good.

You know that is a spoof weirdo conspiracy site right? Sorry, obviously you do, the intro "WE, THE ARBITRAGEURS OF THE NEOHYPERREALITIES OF POST-STRUCTURALIST FOOTBALL - EXPOSING CORRUPTION SINCE 2006" would make that clear to anyone. You are perceptive after all. -
You can argue that was true of Lawrie Mac as well. Keegan and Channon said his team talk consisted of "go out there and win".

Mostly the players are being asked the question and they are saying something diplomatic along the lines of "sure why not, everyone has a chance". all the rest is spin.

Dull but true fact. The Iraqi invasion of Kuwait was triggered by the Kuwaitis slant drilling into Iraqi oilfields and refusing to stop.

Ive been rumbled for posting ****e. Im in a deep hole and my only equipment is a shovel. Pretending Im on a phone with a dodgy keyboard which prevents me from otherwise making killer cogent points is the only escape I can think of.

High value goods and knowledge based products contribute far more to the economy. Anyway its a dialogue with the deaf so thanks and all that but....

You said ship and boat building so I mentioned a ship builder and some boat builders. You then you try and score a point by saying the boat builder I mentioned isnt a ship builder. What an odd little man you are Bazza.

VT shipbuilding in Portsmouth, Dover Yacht Co, Grant Scannell, Martin McLaughlin, Lloyd Werft. Agriculture is growing things Bazza, like food. Garden of England, ring any bells?
-
You said that south coast corridor. Rolls Royce cars are in Goodwood, BOC Edwards make vacuum pumps in Hove and Shoreham. GSK do not have any significant base in Liverpool, check their website, but their main factory is in Worthing. Anyway the point is Bazza, your post was ******** (no really).

Pfizer, Eurotunnel, ship and boat building, brickworks, software and games, agriculture, oh and the roads dont forget the roads.

HQs and main factories of Rolls Royce, Ricardo Engineers, Glaxo SK, Body Shop, BOC, medical and defence electronics, aerospace etc etc.

Its hard to see how Qatar would rank higher in developing the global game compared with other candidates like Australia, who have also never hosted it (and playing in the summer would be their winter). .

Which are what? Shipping lanes? -better off with Frigates / destroyers. Island dependencies like the Falklands, better off with a bigger garrison.
-
But if you arent going to get involved in every national dispute and scale back the army then it mostly makes the need for the carriers redundant. Carriers are for projecting force overseas, not for home defence. With a shrunken army they are largely pointless - unless our foreign policy will be to simply stand offshore and bomb people from a distance.

Can you imagine him on this forum? Apart from maybe Chez and DuncanRG he'd be friendless with insightful football posts like that.
