Its probably got a lot to do with the equalisation of insurance policies for men and women which has just come in. Womens motor insurance has gone up and mens has got cheaper. Mens permanent health insurance has got more expensive, womens cheaper. http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/cars/article-2248278/Car-insurance-women-15-new-EU-gender-rules-kick-week.html?ito=feeds-newsxml

Classy, but not out of character. Charlie is right by the way, though too late with the warning.

Please, no false modesty Pap. You and Turkish are the TSW Kings of Sneer, belittling and putting down anything that takes your fancy but rarely saying anything positive. I play a much more modest role of sneering at the Kings of sneer, I see it as a public service role.

I'll tell you in a year or two. Depends on how much of the 'potential' turns into real PL quality and how much we get for the players who cant cut it and get sold.
-
So because some players have been able to move up from lg1 to the PL the remainder - players that did well in Lg1 or in the championship but cant cut it in the PL - were poor signings?
-
If we had spent the last three years in the same divsion that would be a strong indictment. However the fact that they have been bought and we've been promoted beyond the ability of some actually proves the opposite - they werre decent buys at the time, the club has moved forward and now needs to replace a lot of them with more quality. Of our 30 odd players i'd say only around 8 are definitely PL quality and a few more are marginal. At least 10 need to be moved on - but that is simply a result of getting up two divisions in two years.
-
Id agree with that, although tbf it was always going to be easier to sign good players for the division when you are a championship club tipped to do well / get promoted than when you are a PL club tipped to go down again.
-
It says of those 10:- three were instrumental in getting us promoted; three have needed to play in the PL and done okay; three need to prove themselves but still might and only one was a bad signing.

It was still £15m of quality out of the team though. Adkins hasnt spent that much nett (though Im pretty sure its more than £3m)

I was listening yesterday to an interview with a cafe owner in the town. His son had attended that school, his daughter had been a student treacher there. Apparently a sane and intelligent man he spoke movingly about the impact of the events. At the end the British interviewer asked him about gun control and suddenly it was like listening to someone from a parallel universe. The answer apparently, was not gun control, but that the school staff should have been armed. I find it impossible to get my head onto the wavelength of anybody who thinks the solution to children being shot is to have guns readily available at a school. It was the same argument after the shooting in the Aurora cinema shootings - people would have been saved if more people in the audience had guns. Panicked people shooting in the dark at shadows and at each other would have been a better outcome? really? The maths are simple. If you have a gun in the house you, your spouse or your child are 11 times more likely to shoot themselves or another family members than be shot by an outsider.

At different times of the day I can't see the sun or the moon from different windows in my house. This is due to a little known scientific phenomenom known as 'facing in the wrong direction'. Despite my inability to see the sun in the morning from my west facing window, it still lets light in. Chapel End Charlie , could you feed my need to find a conspiracy by explaining it please. I am also disturbed by the breaks of a few seconds, too high gain contrast settings making the astronauts look too white and the white flashes on the screen. Stupid gullible people, cowed by their governments, might think this is because they are tapes of a five day live broacast using 1960s technology from 250,000 miles away in the early days of video, but my extra insight and critical thinking enables me to ask independent questions and get the answers I want to hear from a Nashville taxi driver and an Aussie vanity films blogger.

Id love to see someone do this springing back up maneuver on earth.

£900 per hour buys real expertise......

Presumably PST have enough to buy Pompey out of admin (probably £1 and some small commitment to creditors), as long as its without FP. imo before the next hearing that will become PST's preferred way forward. Serious question, is Moneyfields up to the standard required by lg2?

Whitey painted that? wow. Its a real shame its so small. It would look wonderful bigger, like on a ceiling or something.

The death of youth culture and football tribalism is linked to all kinds of things - but mainly because football is seen as just another leisure activity now. All kinds of reasons for that - people dont take much pride in the local anymore, preferring global brands, holidays, tv programs and they have more money and access to other things to do on a Saturday. All kinds of community based stuff has fallen away, from local pubs to scouts to the cinema. People 'consume product' now in all walks of life, mostly at home, fed by what sky and advertising tell them to like. Real loss imo

The Mayans are all dead. The apocalypse was years ago and spoke Spanish. -
Not only that, but by telling the ****heads in her pub there were only 50 weeks in a year, she got to keep the extra £20.

Saints ranked 8th in the English rankings for player production
buctootim replied to mdearlove's topic in The Saints
They've used the wrong dataset imo. Spending three years developing players between the ages of 15 and 21 means for example that Spurs can claim Bale or Arsenal Theo. Would be more meaningful to have a table based on an age group say 12-18 - genuinely developing young players rather than simply buying an established hot prospect. -
So were are being asked to celebrate the fact that trains continue to be maintained and a factory not closing in North Wales is grounds for the PM to visit?
