  1. I can understand why people move all kinds of places - culture, experience, nature, beaches, weather, fun etc. imo though the only reason for moving to places like Doha, Dubai, Jeddah etc is for a huge pile of money with the intention of living modestly, saving like mad and getting out after a couple of years. Just dont get sucked into living long term in a place you dont want to be just for the money.
  2. Psst Dune. Your location. It was a **** take during the Doncaster match thread of Merringtons commentary that "You dont want to go a goal behind in this match". Everyone else got it, sorry it sailed over your head. Best change your location coz its making you look a bit, well, um, thick.....again. Actually leave it up. Watching you trying to take the **** out of people in error because you are too slow and blunt to get what they mean has a comedy value all of its own.
  3. Prompted me to watch the 1989 Lions v Australia match again. About five separate fights in that match - in an international broadcast live to millions. Cracking entertainment.
  4. Agree. They have a couple of early capsules on display in the National Air & Space Museum in Washington DC. They are unrestored and you can still see the scorch marks from reentry. Terrifyingly small and unsophisticated too, like going to space in a 1960s mini.
  5. Don't you mean additional capital investments?
  6. You got to admit it was a ****ing stupid thing to say though - "buy more fuel now (and thereby creating a demand surge the industry wasnt prepared for) just in case there is industrial action at some point in the future -which the union would have to give 7 days notice of anyway"
  7. You can do prices changes on the Land Registry too - except you can additionally do it by county /city rather than region and by month rather than quarterly
  8. Interrogate the Land Registry's database. Definitive. http://www.landreg.gov.uk/house-prices/house-price-index-custom-reports
  9. Day trip to Ayr? http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201206448719645/sort/priceasc/usedcars/price-to/7000/price-from/4000/maximum-age/up_to_5_years_old/engine-size-cars/2l_to_2-5l/maximum-mileage/up_to_60000_miles/model/mazda3/make/mazda/page/1/postcode/g128qq/radius/30?logcode=p
  10. Never driven one so cant comment about the car, but had a Alfa 156 with that same engine - good choice. Check whether its the 120 or 150bhp unit though.
  11. Its really interesting how different brands are often perceived totally differently in different countries, and how that changes over time. At least in the UK Audies do seem to be attracting knobs -maybe because there are a lot of cheap TTs around now. Saw this article abnout car brands in China. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/11/15/business/global/in-china-car-brands-evoke-an-unexpected-set-of-stereotypes.html?_r=1 And this one about changing perceptions from year to year http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/cars/new-cars/news/2011/01/2011-car-brand-perception-survey/performance/index.htm
  12. Good interview. The last two line are interesting given the 'for sale?' thread. "Nothing has changed from an operational and strategic perspective with ML not being here. NC will drive the club forward and has every plan to do so"
  13. Dont disagree with that. You can slice it and dice it different ways though. The affairs of the club are certainly 'cleaner ' now but you could also take the devils advocate view that Saints can be marketed as a debt free premiership club, excellent academy with 100% outright ownership available.
  14. How about this? http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201209453762994/sort/priceasc/usedcars/price-to/7000/engine-size-cars/2l_to_2-5l/maximum-age/up_to_5_years_old/price-from/4000/maximum-mileage/up_to_60000_miles/model/mazda3/make/mazda/radius/1501/page/1/postcode/bn68qb?logcode=p
  15. What have you done with Dune?
  16. Often forgotten in all the ****ing contest
  17. Damn them. http://www.facebook.com/pages/BARCELONA-FANS-GAMBIA-CHAPTER/124529787563969
  18. If West Ham do lose tonight Saints are definitely up imo.
  19. Can imagine how excited RL and Adkins who are both Liverpool castoffs and fans will be about playing at Anfield. Mixture of awe and point to prove I imagine.
  20. Personally Id prefer some kind of state funding system that supports the candidates rather than the parties. That way it would reduce the power of the whips and increase participation (and success) in elections by independents. For those reasons alone though, like PR, it will never happen because those benefitting from the current system, party leaders, wont allow it.
  21. Its a moot point though. The normal market rate for a CEO of a business of Saints size would be much less if you were hiring someone the owner didnt know through an ad in the paper. In this caseML bought the club and wanted NC to run it, someone he knew and trusted - perhaps they were also good friends. I guess it was worth it to him - very rich and and in poor health - to be able to hand the club over, not need to scrutinise, and enjoy it problem free.
  22. I get ads for single Ukrainian ladies and offers to visit Egypt ...... come to think about it that is Israel bang on the money.
  23. How much money have you put into oil futures?, since you're so sure an' all.
  24. They're both German so therefore are fantastic. Everything else is ****. Apparently.
