People have to work so that someone can order a new T-shirt, or a new vase for the mantelpiece or lay some grass in their garden? Because these are the types of businesses that are still operating, and you’re incredibly naive to think it’s possible to maintain social distancing inside those buildings. Where have I said it’s ok to sunbathe?

The government are perfectly happy for nearly half of workers to still be going out to work every day, which is keeping the virus spreading, but going to the park is the real issue here and is going to cause the lockdown to stay in place for longer. You really don’t live in the real world do you

Going for a walk isn’t dangerous you moron. Get a grip of yourself, you’re hysterical, stricter measures

Unless they’re out and about licking door handles and standing nose to nose with people, what’s the problem? There’s a 1 in 200 chance you’ll die in a car crash in your lifetime, why do so many people own cars?

Ah the old Shurlock classic of calling the other person thick to make yourself look clever. Must be wonderful in that little bubble you live in.

Yeah all those selfish people who are forced to keep going to work in non essential roles because if they don’t they won’t be paid. A large number of those jobs have zero social distancing because it wouldn’t be possible for the job to be done otherwise. However they’re supposed to get in line and do as they’re told outside of work? It’s a complete contradiction. I’m sure if they were afforded the luxury of the self righteous and got to work from home or be furloughed they might be more inclined to take the rules a bit more seriously.

45% of the country are key workers? Get real ffs

So it’s alright if they go to work but not if they see the family, this is the message you’re happy to go along with? Get out there and work, mix with as many people as you like inside the workplace (good luck if you can maintain a safe distance from everyone) but don’t you fücking dare leave the house outside of work hours unless its essential, and tough shît if you miss out on your grandchildren growing up. Rightly or wrongly, do you not see why people are ignoring the rules?

Wait until you find out how many 60+ year olds are still forced to work 40 hours a week. There’s nothing wrong with getting some exercise and fresh air.

That’s the average from what I’ve just read. 70/30 chance of survival if he avoids being put on a ventilator in the first 24 hours and the opposite if he needs one.

He’ll be lucky to be around to know about it. Recovery rates once you reach critical care aren’t exactly favourable.

Imperial is obviously where Dr Caroline Calderwood is getting her stats from. 1.5% of the population is roughly 1 million and there were 1,000 deaths on the 28th. 1 death = 1,000 cases.

Dr Catherine Calderwood (CMO for Scotland) said today that for every death there are possibly 1,000 cases. 50,000 deaths = 50,000,000 cases, nearly 80% of the population infected. Time to panic buy sun cream, we’ll be in the pub gardens in no time.

And where has mass testing got them? They’re 3-4 days behind the UK in terms of deaths.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8176909/Health-chiefs-warn-public-stay-home-concerning-INCREASE-road-traffic.html Obviously Public Health England have never heard of a thing called the weekend ffs. Shocking news that road traffic decreased the two days the majority of people didn’t have to go to work and went back to normal on Monday. Thesr are the geniuses that are meant to be helping to keep us safe from the virus?

All well and good in principle but after he originally picks up a “contaminated” item his hand is now potentially contaminated too, but he cleans it and then moves it to the clean side with that dirty hand and has potentially contaminated it again. You need a clean hand and a dirty hand too.

Initially yeah, but you’d imagine they’ll want everyone who wants a test to be able to have one eventually.

Fingers crossed the government have got a contract in place for the antibody tests that means we will definitely get as many as need. Before Trump comes along and buys them all up and pays for them to be the only country to get them.

Probably going to see a couple of spikes because of an increase in getting food supplies around the time of their lockdowns. They had a northern Italy lockdown, a country wide lockdown and then they tightened the rules a couple of days later which might explain the spikes.
