Unlike most of the voting public, most of the house of Commons, and half of the Lib Dems, some on here, have their collective heads buried in the same sand, as the rabid labour left.

Deserved, imho -
That's a good thing then, as the Sun wants us out of Europe!

Most of those are takers, not givers! they'd say yes to anything, to remain in the 'Franco/Germanic' gang.

You really are the thickest skate I've come across, you have skin thicker than a Rhino's. It is a waste of time tying to get you to see the difference between the corrupt goings on with your slimy club, and the rest of football. Someone claimed you were Storrie teller, I think they may be right!

and the rest of the debt?, how will you defend that?

You forgot this............ A cash injection, that accompanied the arrival of John Deacon as chairman in 1972, failed to improve Portsmouth's league position. With Deacon unable to continue bankrolling the club on the same scale, Portsmouth were relegated to the Third Division in 1976. In November 1976, the club found itself needing to raise £25,000 to pay off debts and so avoid bankruptcy. With players having to be sold to ease the club's financial situation, and no money available for replacements, Portsmouth were forced to rely on an untried manager, Ian St John and inexperienced young players. Consequently, they were relegated to the Fourth Division in 1978. and this............ Portsmouth's centenary season, 1998–99, saw a serious financial crisis hit the club, and in December 1998 Portsmouth went into financial administration. and this............ 24 February 2010, "Balram Chainrai, the owner of Portsmouth Football Club, has today served notice that the club will go into administration unless new owners can be found by Friday." How proud you must be of your 'history'

I expect they have, but for a different type of 'grass'!

Miss this one the Ho ho ho..... • What does the club owe CSI and Antonov? – A sum of money was invested into the club by CSI, of approximately £10.8m. The debt was to CSI, so responsibility for payment of the loan will fall to any future owner. Discussion of debts and a deal for the club is possible, it is felt that some realism has to be reached as regards a price for the club. No change there then!

Well! I hope our players have more belief than the fans, you lot have givne up before a ball has been kicked, I hope they don't read this thread!

Without a crystall ball last summer why would Antonov do that? He had plenty enough cash back then to buy the players we did AND service the CVA. Pompey fans were way ahead of you in giving the details from Rumafia.com (and other backgroun info) to both the FL and various journalists because of concerns about Antonov's past. They were assured there was nothing to worry about. David Conn acknowledged he'd go his information for his recent article from Pompey fans, did he not? Both replies from Corp ho ho ho in the above post 45454. Ho Ho, Do you think that Antonov realised the money he was throwing at Poopey, was ripped of from Snoras bank customers, as for servicing the CVA, when's that happening, he, according to you at the time, is filthy rich, so why didn't he pay off all the debts at once, like the honourable Herr Liebherr. As for the second comment re the Rumafia articles, I for one have been following your slimy forums for 18 months now, and the first mention of this was after it appeared on here. Not cross your scaly mind, that perhaps Mr Conn got his wires crossed here?

Come on, you taxmen! December 3, 2011 // 0 There is much about modern football to make decent citizens nauseous, but high on the list must be the football creditor rule. This is only marginally more comprehensible than the offside rule, but it says, in essence, that if a club goes bust, everyone on the inside gets paid in full before anyone on the outside gets a penny. You might think that such a rule would be well offside, but it has survived for decades, resisting all attempts to challenge it – partly because the outside creditors include small local suppliers and the St John Ambulance brigade, which lack either the resources or the determination to crack it. Now, finally, the taxman is trying to dribble his way through the Premier League’s defences. The rule has always been unfair, but the awesome sums paid to the few at the top, and the fortunes so casually spent on trophy asset clubs by owners of doubtful pedigree make it grotesque. Today there is serious money at stake – especially PAYE and National Insurance - and the lost tax effectively amounts to a subsidy from the poor to the rich. As HMRC argues, this should be “unlawful and against public policy.” However obvious this may seem, the League’s defence may prove hard to break down. When what is delicately described as an “insolvency event” occurs, the money hose from media rights and sponsorship is immediately diverted away from the club to the football creditors. This underwrites the unedifying spectacle of the hugely-rewarded players and managers getting paid in full while small suppliers may get a few pennies in the pound. The League argues that without the rule, its fixture list could be disrupted by a bankruptcy. The answer to that, surely, is insurance. The owners of the clubs would have to pay the premiums, at levels reflecting the financial discipline of each. Those which do not currently understand the meaning of that phrase would get an expensive education. The case kicked off in the High Court this week and is expected to run for a fortnight. Come on, you taxmen! Ummm! who could he be referring to
