Extending the "engineered PR" theory.... Maybe they've got a few 'marquee' players lined up who weren't convinced by our credentials and ambition. Cue Frank's Cousin's "lets show the footballing world how damn ambitious we are" theory... Hey presto...said "superstar" players have their heads turned...
Of course we'll never know which of these slightly bonkers theories is closest to reality.
Good to see The Sun keeping up with events... http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/4931803/Danny-Fox-urges-Nicola-Cortese-not-to-quit-Southampton.html
Didn't they start using the silver logo on the OS around this time last year? That didn't end up on the kit - it was more of a template for our 'corporate marketing' colour for the next season.
I appreciate Pompey fans have only had exposure to 'bad debt' over the last 5 years or so but there is such a thing as 'good debt' (I know, an alien concept to them)

I'm inclined to agree. Maybe the situation with Markus's estate has only just been concluded and its only recently been possible for an individual to assume ownership.
@BenSmithBBC: A deal was struck in Zurich on Friday after a week of talks between Cortese and #saintsfc owner Katharina Liebherr.
@dankiz1: @BenSmithBBC thanks Ben, appreciate top updates mate
@BenSmithBBC: @dankiz1 pleasure. If I was a #SaintsFC fan I'd be very excited.
@Lord_Palmerston: Lesson of the Cortese fiasco for Saints fans - the players aren't playing for you, they're playing for Cortese. Troubled club below surface.
