  3. Top of head idea.... The winners of the FA Cup get awarded an extra 5 points in the league...? Could make the difference between, say, finishing 4th or 5th. Just me thinking out loud...

    Well

    Cheers for the insights Monk
  5. Since when was it mandatory for football fans to be rational and objective? Surely being fickle and biased are the qualifications required to support a team?
  6. 23-5
  7. I admire your optimism....

  9. Not sure I could cope with the added tension to be honest
  10. What position in the table are Man Utd in this hypothetical end of season scenario and can we overtake them if we win?
  11. Do you think it would be in Adam's interests for the club to go public with what was actually said and do you think that will happen sooner rather than later? And do you know why a watered down version of what was said is being quoted and circulated by journalists rather than the actual version? Cheers
  12. Indeed. It seems that some people think that someone needs to swear etc before something can be deemed inappropriate or offensive.
  13. No probs - I was just picking up on your comment about revealing what the players say during a match as the implication seemed to be that that mitigated what referees do and say.
  14. Ian Peach ‏@iepeach Catching up & seen there's been fair bit today about investment & respective shareholdings. Worth mentioning there's 300 odd fans still to convert their shares & that when they do it means yet more investment in the club and position improves further still. Bit harsh to call them "odd" IMO...
  15. Are you trying to suggest that referees are human?
  16. If a player says something derogatory then there is an instant punishment at the referee's disposal (yellow card). If the referee says something derogatory then the correct procedure is for the club to file a complaint. Seems fair enough to me.
  17. Because that's more difficult to prove? Having something Clattenburg said to one of our players as 'ammunition' is far more tangible (no matter how trivial) than trying to convince the FA that he's got it in for us in general. This is a case of "a means to an end" IMO. Whether this 'tactic' works as the club hoped it will remains to be seen.
  18. That's a bit harsh. I'm only passing on information....

  20. Maybe so, but that started before his England call up.
  21. Adam Blackmore ‏@bigadamsport To complete #saintsfc day, Dani Osvaldo banned for 3 games & fined 40k for violent conduct at Newcastle
