Starmer now back-pedalling on what he said in the Commons yesterday

Starmer's argument seems to be: "I knew Mandleson was still involved with a convicted peadophile but I didn't know by how much" Surely the depth of his relationship is immaterial? Surely any level of relationship is enough to rule him out? Starmer doesn't have a leg to stand on. It's almost as bad a judgement as eating a piece of birthday cake during a Covid lockdown...

Reassuring to know that there'll always be at least one club that's more tinpot than Saints...

Ah, ok... I took BarberSaint's post at face value and naturally assumed it was a recent quote. But, yes, I agree, it still resonates with other snippets of info about how the club is being run (e.g. scouts not needing to actually watch players play). Maybe the hierarchy could enlighten us on their ownership philosophy if they're not still using this Midtjilland model... But I guess that's unlikely given it would entail communicating with the fans openly on a regular basis...

As close to confirmation as possible that they're using this football club a guinea pig for their warped philosophies and 'research'. How this level of self-indulgent risk taking is allowable under the football authorities 'fit and proper' ownership criteria is baffling.... Surely, at best, this is utter contempt for us HUMANS that support the club and, at worst, it's gross negligence....?

Yeah... What ever happened to him? He was tearing up the U21 competitions with goals galore, got rewarded with one or two appearances on the first team bench, then never to be seen again... Probably injured I guess, but in the absence of any tangible info it's just another one of those Saintsy type mysteries...
