1. Just the 4 groups have submitted formal offers for Rangers then... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17614317 Four bids seems a little greedy when our poor friends down the road haven't got any...
2. Why does there always have to be a 'right' and 'wrong' way in most debates. Maybe what's right for one person is wrong for another?
3. Get him on the bench on Saturday! :-)
4. Which would mean that PFC is still owned by....erm....the previous owner.....? Or, given it was "bought" out of administration, it would revert back to UHY Hacker....? All seems a bit far fetched even for me...! Indeed, I'm thinking this could upset the space time continuum if Pompey are infact still owned by the previous administrator whilst being administered by the current administrator!
5. IMO, I think teenagers are clever enough to work out the difference between corporal punishment and random acts of violence. Well, at least they were "in my day". But perhaps I'm guilty of viewing the past with rose tinted spectacles...? Possibly a valid accusation but I'm as convinced as I can be that the two are easily disguishable.
6. The three words that initially entered my head on reading that headline was "No sh*t Sherlock!" IMO there's nothing for kids to be scared or afraid of these days hence no deterrent. I never got the cane at school and detention a handful of times because I was fearful of the consequences of mis-behaving. I know it's a much mocked non-PR cliche these days but the "it never did me any harm" retort is valid IMO. Most people who went to school "in my day" say that receiving the cane or slipper taught them a valuable lesson. We somehow think that we're more sophisticated these days because we're "more humane" having banned the cane but we're actually doing our children a disservice, again IMO. Progress my arse! Oh well, time to hand over to the PC brigade to tell me I'm a relic from bad times gone by....
7. So, what you're basically saying is.....when we see an interview with Tommy Forecast....PANIC!?
8. I think what he's asking is why Pompey would find out before, say, us on here? If someone is 'leaking' information then its just as likely to be leaked to someone that knows someone on here as it is to someone who knows someone at Pompey? I think that's the gist behind the question.

10. Actually, thinking about it, I wouldn't be surprised if they are "under orders" not to announce (aka Shout from the rooftops) that the TO is open for collections on Saturday morning as they probably want as many people as possible to get it out of the way before then, to avoid too many people defering until the Saturday. Would perhaps explain why they have ignored my written requests for info (Email, tweets). Either that or they don't like me....
11. Cheers. Call me old fashioned but maybe they should put a short article up on the OS to clarify that the article on 27th Feb contained incorrect information? Just a thought....
12. And this article, published a day later on 28th FEBRUARY mentions nothing about collection restrictions: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2618424,00.html And that last sentence turned out to be incorrect....
13. They have certainly dished out mixed information on this. That article you quote is from 27th FEBRUARY! If they think a sentence tucked away in article from over a month ago somehow usurps the verbal information to the contrary that the Ticket Office have been giving people when purchasing tickets recently then they are at best fools and at worst breaking consumer law. If there are collection restrictions on something they are selling then those restrictions need to be highlighted AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE. They weren't. All that said, I'm half tempted to ignore the verbal information I and others have received over the phone and pick the darn things up on Friday anyway....which would mean two 100 mile round trips within the space of 24 hours. Will see if the offical Saints twitter account and/or Sibley are saying anything about it too.
14. There's got to be a caption competition in this somewhere....

16. I still reckon there was a good reason why they've chopped and changed the admin announcement on a couple of occasions though.....the second time they added "trading as Portsmouth FC" to the company description....which made me wonder if Birch had a trick up his sleeve....

Let's face it, though, there has never been any punishment for those who have destroyed the club. They can continue to work if they wanted without any consequence. 19. ^ This As you say, they didn't hesitate to adjust their rules when Rupert tried to bend their rules with the parent company malarkey....
20. I meant to mention yesterday that they re-issued the appointment of administrators notice last week and re -added Birch to the list.
21. So, according to the intellectual might of the Football League: Coming out of administration without a CVA = naughty (extra points penalty) Whereas... Coming out of administration with a CVA which you then later scrap = perfectly fine (no extra points penalty) I really do give up. Sigh
22. It would seem not. It is all a bit complicated though so don't be too harsh on the poor little petal...
23. I'm more than happy to accept it if the Football league are too....

I did ring him up once last season and he pretended to be his brother. Shortly afterwards he moaned at me for things I had said and written about him and that I 'didn't know the facts'. When I pointed out to him that I rang him up and he pretended to be somebody else he had no response!
