  1. "The re-emergence of Southampton after writing off most of it's debts is unfair, but let's face it, fair trade practices have no place in football and this is the fault of the (football) authorities who allow this to happen."
  2. Yes. For cyclists as well as motorists.
  3. I take it you don't go to London very often? 90% (no exageration) of cyclists ignore red lights in London.
  4. Knowing it's a global problem makes me feel even more depressed. Thanks a bunch ;-)
  5. This is what I love about this country. Laws that are designed to protect people yet end up being an inhibiter to innocent day-to-day activities. Nanny state Britain. Sigh. Anyway, don't wish to steer the thread off track so apologies for venting my spleen for 30 seconds!
  6. Yep, his lawyer pleaded 'not guilty' on his behalf as he's stranded in Barcelona
  7. Anything to report from your meeting last week FF? Cheers
  8. Cheers - yep, works on my laptop but not on my wonderous gadget they call the iPhone....
  9. There you go. They are a shrewd business just like any other.
  10. How competitive was their bid for the contract this time around? Being a well run company, as I'm sure they are, they'll be fully aware and appreciative of the competitive nature of the market place within which they operate. No doubt they've had the boot on the other foot when they've won contracts ahead of established firms in other bids. Business is about hard nosed negotiation not emotive ties.
  11. Pompey at home with Saints getting a bye due to the away side not being able to field 11 players
  12. I'm getting "Sorry, that page doesn’t exist" on that twitter link. What does/did it say? Cheers
  13. Including masked IP addresses....
  14. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/6725653.stm Bullies at school and in later life may sense that ill-treatment of the red-haired will not be treated as seriously by the authorities as persecution of other groups. "Bullies think that person is outside the norm, they will be able to attack them. The bullies find something to pick on. The bully has a problem and needs a victim," Ms Eliot says.
  15. All 11 year olds: "That's well good" No, it's "very" good, not "well" good. FFS
  16. All 14 year olds: "Look at my *insert object*. It's like really cool" Like? Like what?
  17. ;-)
  18. Less banter on this serious thread if you don't mind please.
  19. I wonder how many "care" versus "don't mind"? Genuine curiosity.
  20. I've always taken a Deppo hijack of one of my threads as a badge of honour :-) Maybe that's because I don't take "the Internet" as seriously as some. If I ever wanted to be taken "seriously" the last place I'd look for an outlet is a football forum on the world wide web.
  21. Not sure I recall Deppo (or anyone else) posting frivolous stuff on threads about tragedies etc. My understanding of "serious threads" in the context raised on here is threads about general day to day stuff which some people end up having a bit of tangental banter on.
  22. I take it all back. The Internet is a lot more serious than I thought.
  23. "Serious threads"? People do realise this is the Internet?
  24. Change your avatar man. It's the only way to resolve this grave injustice!
  25. Boooooo!
