Was there a default font setting or do you have to change the font for each reply? ta -
There was a recent upgrade to the Tapatalk app which mentioned that an equivalent update was required on the forum plug-in side to activate it. Might have something to do with it?

I'm a little surprised that Cortese hasn't convinced them to release the fixtures at 11:15pm to be honest..... ;-) -
I notice the club are promoting their text message service ahead of tomorrow's fixtures being released saying they will send out the fixtures "after 9am"....am I reading this correctly in that they are suggesting that they will send out the fixtures to subscribers ahead of the official 10am announcement (that's the time it's normally announced isn't it?) or is this just a marketing ploy? http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2071955,00.html

Cheers for the reply Steve. I agree with you that there will always be people that "resist change" and I don't usually fall into that camp. The only thing I would change personally is the 'harsh' white background. On my monitor the 'blanket' whiteness has a tendancy to exentuate any flicker in my monitor (yes, perhaps I should get a new one!) and, even as I'm typing this I'm having to blink more rapidly and look away as the blast of whiteness is discomforting on the eye. As I say, 100% not a "change resisting" moan from me. Just an obersvation that, from my persepctive, the glare from the expanse of white is a little discomforting. How about trying, for say one day, swapping the main text window and quote window background colours around (i.e. use the grey for the quotes as the main background) and see how it looks. I'm assuming this should be quite easy to flip round just so people can see if it looks and feels any better. I like the changes in general, I just think there's a valid point people are making with regards the 'harsh on the eye' white background. Cheers -
IMHO, this will ultimately depend on our league position rather than the cost of entry to the ground. If we are flying high then attendances will be comparable, if not higher, to last season (i.e. 20k - 30k). If, on the other hand, we get off to a mediocre start then attendances will fall back into the teens. Supply and demand

Steve - out of sheer idle curiosity, did you plan to change the basic colour scheme as part of the software upgrade as a conscious decision to make it look 'new' or is this just how it comes 'out of the box' when one upgrades the vbulletin software? At the end of the day it's "only a forum" so the colour scheme is largely irrelevant but I do sense a consensus that something closer to the previous less garish style would be well received. Not a whinge, just an observation. Cheers -

Still not working here. Do I have to delete the previous saintsweb 'account' I clicked on in the apatalk app and then re-instate I wonder...? Cheers

Gotta be a chance of that being true. Just checked weather app and current temp is +2, predicted to be freezing before end of game

Another of my theories goes up in smoke....

cheers for that....so, just to clarify, if I'm a 38-40 inch chest and want a top that's more 'baggy' than 'close fit' then I'm looking at needing an 'XL' rather than an 'L'...? Cheerski

indeed....so, miss out on promotion next season and in all likelihood Liebherr and Cortese would cut their losses and look to sell the club on...?
-
No. Businessmen and politicians alike use the "I've no intention of..." line all the time. Note that the use the present tense. This allows them to change their mind when 'circumstances' change and thus refute the charge of "lieing" and, no, I'm not saying that cortese has conciously used that technique above. Just an observation that it happens often.

why jump to the conclusion that those of us open minded enough to consider all eventualties aren't "enjoying the ride"? It is possible to be 'grumpy old man' about a possible outcome whilst being more cheerful than Christopher Biggins about the here and now. Happy days
