I'm guessing most people don't want to inject any negativity into the current feeling of euphoria and thus think it's the gentlemanly thing to do to give people the benefit of the doubt. Not a bad human trait at the end of the day but not sure if it's ruthless enough to get us out of this league.

I don't recall Keegan ruling himself out during last month's media frenzy when the MLT/Keegan story broke (?) And remember how it united and elated (most) people on here. Surely the new regime will contact him again to see if he's still interested as a matter of due course? Afterall, Markus said in his statement yesterday that his mission is to re-engage the fans and local community. Can't think of a better way to achieve that personally. Keegan looking after the first team and Wotte looking after the Academy would be win-win for all concerned...surely?
