Not forgetting the "we're doomed" posts from the usual suspects around November...

You can foresee Forest, Fulham and Brighton battling for European qualification alongside us....? Seems a tad far fetched to me....

Looking at the late March/early April fixtures, its a good job we're usually safe by February every season....
-
Yep, looks like we're going to have to play all teams twice again. FFS.

Can't work out if this is Dusty Bin or the Austin Allegro. Any more clues @Monk?

I'm not usually one of the 'write him off before he joins us' brigade but, based on this insight, it's a "no" from me.

The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

Either that or an economy can grow and contract over the course of a given period of time... -
Somewhat false/unfair equivalence IMO. He was on the field for 857 minutes during those 32 games, so an average of c.26 minutes per game; roughly a quarter of each game. That's equivalent to 9.5 full games. In other words, give him more minutes on the pitch in the premier League and he *might* score more goals per game / per season...

Southgate picking out JWP for praise in his post match interview
-
Would have him back if they'd sell around the £10m - £15m mark
-
Isn't that because we were a 'sell before we can buy club' at that point in time? Ergo, we were at a disadvantage in the transfer market because clubs knew we had the VvD money swilling around. We're now told we can reverse that operating module under our current owners. As such, if we know we can sell JWP for a similar sum then we can get his replacements in before we sell rather than after, and so should be able to get more bang for our buck... (?)

I'm all for freedom of choice, and against banning things for the sake of doing so, but it does surprise me that a handful of people die every year in a sporting event and the powers-that-be don't seem to bat an eyelid. I can't think of any other sport where even one fatality would be tolerated without action being taken and/or a degree of uproar. I'm not casting an opinion one way or the other on whether it should be banned or scaled down, I'm simply curious as to why, in today's world where health and safety is paramount, this sporting event seems to be immune from any interventions. Thoughts? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/motorsport/61760266

Source?* (*Tongue-in-cheek shtick)

It's easier to be sceptical though... In due course, you get to play either your "told you so" card or your "glad I was proven wrong" card. Win win.

Is that the value of the new contract we're supposedly offering him? #ITKWatch

Yeah, it's just a turn of phrase at the end of the day* (* A bit like the phrase 'At the end of the day')
