Nice cheeky block from Redmond there too

Boooooommmmm!!!!

Just remembered the game started at a ridiculous time on a Sunday... Morning / afternoon all! How we doing?
-
So, Ings and Adams were deemed offside (by millimetres *after* the ball had been kicked) in recent games, and yet this is onside... Righty-o...

Vas deferens

You might want to amend that before MLG logs on...
-
Yep. I would go as far to say Armstrong is our most important player and the one we miss the most when he's out injured.
-
As a Saints supporter, no matter how geographically distant, you're more than welcome to use "our" and "we're" rather than "your" and "you're"...

Ah, bugger. Radio Rentals in that case

Yeah, bit of an odd one. I may have imagined this somewhere along the line but did I read/hear once upon a time that Katharina's 20% share holding entitles her to veto the purchase of Gao's 80% if she doesn't approve of who the buyer is? Probably my memory playing tricks on me.

This might be a daft question in that case, but if all VAR requires is for someone to pop down to Rumblelows for a TV monitor, why haven't they use VAR at non-PL grounds, like Barnsley tonight? Genuinely curious

< MLG MODE > We've nearly won as many games as we've lost in 2021 (4 won, 5 lost)...
-
I don't think Ralph will start with Salisu in this one and pretty sure he'll keep McCarthy in goal for PL games, so probably this: McCarthy KWP - Bednarek - Vestergaard - Bertrand JWP - Romeu Armstrong - Takumi Ings - Adams Very strong team on paper... P.s. do we know how long Diallo is out for?

Not a bad shout actually. He's certainly got enough pace and seems fairly nimble.
-
You forgot your 'MLG note'... "Yes, I know it wasn't a league game but it was between two premier League clubs you tart (no offence)"
-
Will there definitely be no VAR for this game - i.e. does it only get used in the FA Cup for home games at PL clubs?. Just wondering if Bournemouth might still have all the VAR equipment in situ and whether it could be dusted off for the game?
-
Indeed. I'm pretty sure I've seen the likes of Harry McGuire making more mistakes on a semi-regular than Salisu did tonight

To be fair to the previous football club that played at Fratton Park (not the current tinpot one that's only been going 8 years or so), cheating your way to cup 'success' is a lot less hassle than trying to get through on merit alone. Not sure why we go to all the trouble of competing fairly really when the 'spending money you haven't got' short cut approach is available. #cheats #taxevaders #charitytheives

Indeed. It's almost as if journos ask these loaded questions just to try and catch the politicians out rather than out of any genuine interest in the subject matter...
-
Pretty sure Ralph was asked at the pre-match press conference if Forster could stake a claim for a PL start and Ralph categorically said no, he's going to keep faith in McCarthy regardless (or words to that effect)

Bar being at home, the best draw possible. Bring it on! #wem-ber-ley

A couple of iffy moments but nothing you wouldn't expect from a player playing his first game in c.9 months. He's definitely got something about him. Excellent pace and covering tackles. Would like to see him partnering with Vestergaard. Shame that his game time might be limited once Bednarek and Vestergaard rekindle their excellent partnership though.
