Indeed. Is this a quicker introduction to 'normal training' for Salisu than you were expecting? Just thinking back to your "typical Saints" remark when you mentioned a few weeks ago that we might need to bring in another CB...? Or am I wide of the mark with my reading-between-the-lines there? Cheers @LeG!

Good spot. So, eyes peeled for a takeover announcement on 11th November... -
How on Earth does the squad's leading domestic goalscorer not get onto the pitch in a game like this...? #ings

I posted this on the ownership thread earlier but might be worth an airing on this thread.... This Jackson Yueill fella struck me as being a potentially decent replacement for Hojbjerg.... seems to have more of an eye for a forward pass than our erstwhile midfielder too, which is a bonus.... and if there's a smidgen of truth in any of these vague rumours of Amercian investment/ownership, then having an Amercian player on board would tie things together nicely..... anyone know anything about his credentials? Definitely has the right age and valuation profile for a Saints prospect MLG notes: (a) yes, I'm fully aware that its a lower standard of football and that the premer league might be beyond his capabilities (b) yes, I know the American ownership thing is probably pie in the sky

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41592525 (interview in 2017) The good news is that he's got very distinctive earlobes, so should be easy to spot if he ever pops in to West Quay for a bite to eat on one of his reconnaissance trips... -
Semmens was very clear in his interview that he/Ralph want to start the season with the same regular 11 that did so well after the restart. So I'm pretty sure his use of the phrase "provide cover" was merely to reinforce that stance rather than implying/suggesting that the incoming player wouldn't be of the same standard as the current players.

Great listen... cheers. Semmens is very impressive... articulate, candid and pragmatic.

"The changes will see the group mirror the training programmes, coaching and style of play of the first team. Training will also be organised so as not to clash with the first team, in order to ensure Hasenhüttl and his coaching staff can not only watch the youngsters train but actively participate in their sessions at times." Like that.... good move IMO

Permission to ask my stock question sir! If you were to take a punt, how many days/weeks would you say "before too long" is...? I won't hold you to it, honest guv! Cheers! -
He uses the same photographer as Salisu

I guess Mané joined us in similar circumstances (for example) so maybe it's more a case of other prem clubs not being prepared to take a risk on potential as much as we are?
