Having not seen the game, and based on the feedback above, I'm wondering if Diallo could fit into a slightly more advanced roll? Say, as an alternative option to Armstrong? Given he's not the same type of player as Romeu (i.e. a midfield 'enforcer'), and JWP never seems to get injured and/or need a rest (famous last words!), Diallo's opportunities are going to be very few and far between unless we can utilise him in Armstrong's position. It sounds like he's got a bit of quality about him, so would be a shame to see him on the bench for most of the season, which is likely if he's only ever going to replace Romeu or JWP. (P.s. I know Ralph is unlikely to tweak the system or shoehorn a player into another position just to give 'player x' more game time)

I've just watched the highlights for the first time. How on Earth was that penalty not given? The Fulham player clearly intended to deflect the ball with his arm. It surely doesn't matter that his arm was in a 'natural' position if there was intent? It's not that he was trying to move his arm away from the ball, quite the opposite. P.s. and why on Earth didn't Adams launch his head at the rebound from JWP's excellent free-kick?!

Was otherwise occupied this afternoon so didn't get to watch the game. From the reactions on here, it would appear the game had 0-0 written all over it...? Still, same points as Chelsea after 15 games. Could be worse.

Is the confusion some people display with the difference between a 'suggestion' and a 'committment' genuine confusion or faux confusion? (My intrigue is genuine, not faux )

I can't see Armstrong being left out?

Indeed. It would appear both 'sides' have agreed to make both UK and EU citizens less safe?

Is there any reason why the EU would want to put the c.4 million EU citizens that live in the UK at greater risk than now by not providing information/intelligence on individuals or groups that were a threat to the UK in a timely manner?

Ralph: "We know the game and we're going to play it"

Yep, I think so too. Ralph obviously invests a huge amount of faith in his 'automatism' philosophy and Stephens, whilst having been out of favour for a while, is best equipped out of Salisu and himself to slip into said automatisms. In other words, and in that regard, Salisu is very much on square one, whereas Stephens is a bit further up the board. That said, Stephens is possibly more prone to landing on a snake...

I'm sure there'll be plenty of people on both 'sides' jumping to conclusions before they've read all 2,000 pages...

'Ebola' is a geographical reference, ergo it could be argued that Wes is being consistent by using a geographical reference to describe Covid-19...?

So then... if Ralph gets poached by Man Utd or Arsenal....

Indeed. I'm just genuinely intrigued if they have a sense of self-awareness that it's their holier-than-thou approach to debate that leads to the opposite of what they want happening? Or are they genuinely unaware? Given they're cleverer than those that voted to leave, it seems a tad bizarre to continue with the shooting-oneself-in-the-foot approach to debate, does it not?
-
Do people that make this kind of comment realise that it's this attitude to towards the 'thickos' that probably tilted the 2016 vote in the favour of 'Leave'? Or are they blissfully unaware? Genuine question from a Brexit agnosticist...

Ralph also says (at 33m 38 secs): "I haven't decided now what I do or who plays in the moment" when talking about Stephens and Salisu as his two Vestergaard replacement options.

Not everyone. Our family have tapped into our collective intellect and decided not to meet up on Christmas day. I doubt we're the only clever family in the land...
