  2. Come on Bournemouth!
  3. Come on Brighton! Come on Sheffield United! #battlefor11th
  4. The original 1975 version or the 1986 re-release?
  5. To my eternal shame, I'll always be known as "that mad chap on Saintsweb that suggested we had a squad capable of finishing in the top half of the table in 2020". In retrospect, it was indeed complete and utter madness.
  6. I can imagine the comentators and pundits orgasming over that one if it does happen (apologies for the mental imagary there folks)
  7. We should now be congratulating him for the 0-9 drubbing in hindsight.... if it had been a more routine 1 or 2 goal defeat then, who knows, without that wake-up call / kick up the arse, we may never have achieved the committment levels that have resulted in us being the 5th or 6th best team during the last two thirds of the season. Fate is indeed a fickle mistress...
  8. I'm valuing my Chris de Burgh record collection at £87,634.... any takers...?
  9. Just watching Match of the Day 2... It's annoying enough having to listen to Spurs fans singing "oh when the Spurs..." in real life, doubly so when it's being dubbed in continuously by the broadcaster.... Sigh (Yes, I know... First world problems and all that... )
  10. Totally, but as you say, how on Earth did the lino miss such a clear offside in the first place...
  11. Would be borderline "madness" if we finished 11th, however count me in for a dash of an almost bonkers finish to the season 4-1 to Saints; Ings hattrick to share the golden boot with Vardy
  12. Excuse the tangential thought, but does anyone have any insight into what Ralph thinks of Dan N'Lundulu? @LeG? He was my bet for 'academy breakthrough' player this season but I think he's only made the first team bench once this season? (That said, he was out injured for a fair portion of the season IIRC?) From what I've seen of him in the U23s, he seems to have the attributes that Ralph likes to see in a striker. Edit: just spotted he's a year older than Obefemi so perhaps Ralph doesn't rate him as much
  13. Indeed. I think that's my point... After all, someone is only worth what someone is prepared to pay.
  14. This. I get why people are going for figures north of £75m but I think his historic injury record would still put doubt in the minds of potential suitors and thus subdue his valuation somewhat.
  15. Yep, what makes Redmond more frustrating than a lot of players is that one minute he's top class and the next he's fluffing his lines. That said, and to quote an often used SWF phrase: "if he was consistently top notch then he wouldn't be playing for Saints..." On balance though, I think his pros outweigh his cons
  16. Yep, around the £50m mark
  17. I'm still in the Adams camp. Just a bit frustrating sometimes when he wants an extra second or extra touch when an instinctive snap shot would make all the difference. Perhaps that's just down to confidence and now that he's got the zero goals monkey off his back he'll start to improve his 'automatism'
  18. If we can maintain our form of the last two thirds of this season for the majority of next season then we'll finish top 4 or thereabouts. "If" being the operative word of course
  19. Much prefer the new forum but, is it me or does it struggle with performance at the end of games? A few times now it's seized up for me for about 10 minutes after the final whistle. @stevegrant
