  1. Yep, another distracting fixture Vs Pompey is just what we need right now. Focusing on maintaining our league form is far too over-rated...
  2. Always happy to see players who put in a below par performance being slated by the Saintsweb Forum intelligentsia, as an upturn in form often follows. My shares in the company that produces "glad I was proven wrong" cards have given some excellent returns this season already...
  3. Vokins!!!! Superb strike
  4. Tranmere come from 3 down at Watford to equalise
  5. Cedric on. We're really going for this now...
  6. Barrow 5 Ebbsfleet 0 (Scott Quigley 76)
  7. Nope, Armstrong (for Smallbone)
  8. Don't waste your time commenting on people wasting their time....
  9. No, they are clearly stating they are re-iterating existing guidelines, not issuing new ones... https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/dec/30/var-should-only-be-used-for-clear-and-obvious-offside-errors-say-law-makers
  10. Get in!!!! Smallbone! Free shot but nicely taken
  11. The VAR rules have always included the 'clear and obvious' directive. The issue is that the rules have never been applied as intended. Statement from the people that invented the rules here: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/dec/30/var-should-only-be-used-for-clear-and-obvious-offside-errors-say-law-makers
  12. It does apply to offsides, according to the people that make the rules... https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/dec/30/var-should-only-be-used-for-clear-and-obvious-offside-errors-say-law-makers
  13. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/dec/30/var-should-only-be-used-for-clear-and-obvious-offside-errors-say-law-makers "VAR should not be used for ‘something marginal’, says Ifab"
  14. "Clear and obvious"...?
  15. Long!!!!! Hmm...looks offside...
  16. I thought it was for the shirt pull?
  17. FA Cup 3rd Round Rochdale equaliser v Newcastle (79 mins)
  18. I'd rather spend £35m on one 'very good' player than £15m or so on a couple of 'average' players. These days, £35m buys us what we used to get for £15m a few years ago. IMHO of course
