Just watched the highlights (on Quest channel...WTF?). Amazing finish to the game but how on Earth did Newcastle not get a penalty in added time with the score still at 2-1 when the Forest keeper completely clattered the Newcastle striker?

Maybe his biggest mistake was trying to stay up when he was initially clipped by the defender.

Fair point. But the bottom line is that Maguire's shot was relatively weak and went through two defenders who should have dealt with it. I've seen enough of Saints the last couple of seasons to be convinced we're more than capable of conceding that type of last minute goal if we had 13 players on the pitch, let alone 10.

Disagree. We didn't lose that game due to going down to 10 men. We lost it due to inept defending. Sure, going down to 10 men dented our chances of winning but we can't pin the defeat on Hojbjerg IMO.
