At the beginning of the season I reckoned we had a squad capable of finishing in the top 10. With 4 games to go that's still achievable. Sticking with that prediction at the moment. #madness

Agreed. I was merely (and calmly) highlighting a fact that we've been better than Leicester and Chelsea (for example) over the last two thirds of the season.

I know I'm sounding like a scratched record on this point, but why is a penalty shot that misses the target by an inch or two invariably deemed to be "hopeless", yet a penalty shot that goes into the corner by an inch or two is invariably deemed to be "perfect"? If JWP had skied it into row Z then, yes, I'd agree: woeful penalty. Could it not be argued that his penalty last night was "not far off perfect"....?

We're currently a better team than Leicester and Chelsea, based on the most recent two thirds of the season. (yes, I know..... "a team is judged over a whole season, not on recent form...blah blah blah".... but I would venture that the most recent two thirds of a season are probably more indicative of how good a team currently is rather than using the most distant third as a barometer....) p.s. the above said, I wouldn't personally describe us as a "top top team". That is indeed stretching credibility somewhat
