  1. Interesting first post sir, 1 year after registering. Cheers #eagleeyedtrousers
  2. Yes, I got the same message.
  3. Today is as good as any. Fire away sir....
  4. On balance, I'd probably go for Pellegrini. I don't think he's a perfect match for the 'Southampton way' project, but he is the highest profile of the supposed candidates and at a point in time where we are endeavouring to maximise our commercial potential, having a premier league winner as our manager will raise our profile (commercially) more than a relatively unknown manager.
  5. I have a theory.... But not sure Pap and/or Saintbletch would agree...
  6. Adam Blackmore ‏@bigadamsport As for today, disingenuous of Koeman to throw #saintsfc board & Les Reed under the bus as a parting gift after they put him where he is. At no stage talking to club, agent, ex-agent & others over last few weeks has today's version of events been even hinted at
  7. That won't stop the usual suspects (journos, pundits, etc) labelling us a "selling club" as if we have a choice in the matter. Hey ho. We march on etc
  8. How come The Mirror couldn't manage to shoe-horn a "meltdown" into that article? They must be slipping.
  9. Lewis Coombes ‏@LEWIS_C IF #Koeman intended to see out last year of contract but #saintsfc ultimatum to sign or leave forced his hand...why change agents?? #spin
  10. So, the complete opposite of what he was saying in public in recent months when asked about his contract situation...?
  11. BREAKING: Our new manager will be announced this afternoon. Sorry, that's a lie....amphibian.... #fetchescoat
  12. He left Nice a few weeks ago (24th May)... (purely coincidental that this is around the same time that Koeman started rattling cages of course... )
  13. First post in over a year.... ITK sir?
  14. Cheers Jeremy
  15. I was listening to Andy Goldstein and Jason Cundy on TalkSport on Tuesday evening (same day that Koeman to Everton was confirmed) and they were similarly struggling with the concept of a Premier League club having a different operating model, despite several Saints fans phoning them up to explain what you've outlined above. They were saying it proves how "little" a club Southampton are when they rollover and let clubs like Everton poach their manager, with no regard to the fact that it might have been in our interests to let him go n the circumstances. p.s. don't ask me what I'm doing listening to TalkSport at 10pm at night. It was a momentary lapse of judgement and I promise it won't happen again
  16. Not any more... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-36546038
