Likewise. Sickening.

Have you, or do you know of anyone, who has ever had sex with someone who had been drinking? If yes, how did you/they know whether the level of alcohol was below or above the level whereby "consent" was reliable? (Just asking the obvious devil's advocate questions before someone accuses me of trying to justify or mitigate Evans's actions.) I think what people are trying to articulate here is that there is seemingly a very grey area when it comes to consent where alcohol is involved, which might explain why Evans is convinced he hasn't done anything wrong (Legally that is. I don't think there's any doubt about the morality side of things)

I used to. They stopped after a few successful attempts to keep the calls going for longer than half an hour each time.... -

Couldn't have put it better myself: http://blogs.spectator.co.uk/coffeehouse/2015/01/the-online-petition-is-simply-a-21st-century-version-of-the-lynch-mob/ Well, I probably could have done but for my veil of modesty.

Schneiderlin for me. First name on the team sheet when available.

Looks like Pompey are going to trump Wimbledon's "incredible offer" and Bristol Rover's "attractive package" to sign Matt Tubbs. I wonder what Pompey have got that's so attractive....oh, silly me, it's the chance to play in front of the bestest fans in the world of course.... http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/Bristol-Rovers-target-Matt-Tubbs-tempted/story-25810811-detail/story.html

FA Cup Fourth Round Draw - Saints/Ipswich v Crystal Palace

Thank you for noticing kind sir. Saintsweb could do with more observant people like your good self. Most people couldn't give a toss and that's no foundation for a successful and thriving internet football forum. P.s. ask me to "do groundhog day" next time -
Also ensure the people dealing with the appeal don't read the SaintsWeb forum....

It also occurred to me the other day that I can't believe Krueger or Katherina have ever been up to see the bridge for themselves as I'm sure they wouldn't endorse having such an eyesore as one of the main gateways to the stadium. To those of us that use it regularly its obvious that something needs to be done to improve it (both cosmetically and practically) but it would appear no-one with any influence at the club has actually seen it first hand in recent times.

Simple 'solution' if people are broadly in favour of creating a 'kop end' in the Chapel stand: the club could stop selling season tickets (for one season only) in the Northam end and redirect renewals to the Chapel. Would probably p1ss a few people off initially but its a means to an end that would soon be forgotten. Just a thought.

Home to Alan Pardew's Crystal Palace -
Leaving a few minutes early to avoid the various bottle necks (queues to get out of the stadium, queues to get over the railway bridge followed by gridlock getting back to the M3) saves me at least an hour of my evening. For those of us with a life that doesn't just revolve around attending a football match on a Saturday afternoon, making a timely exit is often a necessity. p.s. I assume the bridge in question is owned and maintained by Network Rail?

This "inconsistency" is explained here: https://www.crimeline.info/case/r-v-ched-evans-chedwyn-evans The appeal judge is basically saying that the first bloke *could* have been led to believe that it was consensual because of the events leading up to the 'act' (i.e. they met at a takeaway, got in a taxi, went to a hotel, etc) whereas Evans just pitched up at the hotel and could have been under no illusions that the woman was too drunk to consent. I'm not saying whether I agree or disagree with the conclusions of the jury and the judge(s) but that's the distinction that led to the first guy being found not guilty and Evans guilty of the "same" offence. It's all about their own perception of the incident not whether the woman gave her consent, per se.

P.s. the funniest person I've seen live was Bobby Davro back in the 1980s. True story.

Whatever next? Human beings having different tastes in music? Where will it all end? Shocking.

Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 1-1 Ipswich Town

If we qualify for Europe then I would expect us to increase the depth of our squad. So we can't really compare playing 3 games in a week this season with next season (if it happens). Yes, we've "got to get used to it" but not with the current squad.
