  3. Chamberlain only signed a 3 year contract a mere 4 months ago!
  4. Saints have a game in hand on Huddersfield.
  5. Former Oldham player died earlier in the week. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/m/macclesfield_town/9355603.stm
  6. It has been on and working since 7pm.
  7. Butterfield can and has on numerous occasions played in midfield. Harding go come on at left back and move Dickson into midfield.
  8. Yes (apart from the corporate seats/boxes etc of course).
  9. Lots of options tonight for that... Guly has played on the right before and put Barnard upfront. or Lallana on the right, Dickson on the left and bring Harding on at left back. or Danny Butterfield on at right midfield, with Richardson behind to secure the right up late on to hopefully hold a lead.
  10. He is just quoting BBC Radio Solent who will have had that fed to them by Saints.
  11. Yes, on Saints Player.
  12. Puncheon is ill according to Radio Solent.
  13. That is no excuse really, sell the Carlisle ticket to a friend or relative at face value. I'll be in my season ticket seat in block 29
  14. There are more than 28,000 Saints fans (4,000 Man Utd fans will be there), 50,000 Saints fans went to Wembley and many thousands more missed out on that due to the allocation being too small. A lot of Saints fans that want to go won't get tickets for the Man Utd game as St Mary's isn't big enough. I'm sure you will find someone to buy the Carlisle ticket.
  15. As was said earlier...
  16. Sell the Carlisle ticket at face value to a friend/relative.
  17. It does answer it by omission.
  18. Van Dar Sar, Neville, O'Shea, Carrick, Vidic, Nani, Anderson, Berbatov, Giggs and Rooney all played when Saints last met Man Utd in 2009 as a soon to be relegated to League One team. I doubt Ferguson will take this game that lightly as he will know Saints now have a far stronger team and infront of a live worldwide audience and a packed St Mary's, it is a potential banana skin. I think he may only rest 2 or 3 players at most even though they have a game 3 days later at home to Aston Villa.
  19. He will have to change it again because the squad drove to Oldham yesterday afternoon.
  20. My mistake, Barnard broke this rule... A goalkeeper is considered to be in control of the ball: • while the ball is between his hands or between his hand and any surface (e.g. ground, own body) • while holding the ball in his outstretched open hand • while in the act of bouncing it on the ground or tossing it into the air
  21. For what offence though? The keeper only had it in one hand and Barnard only touched the ball.
  22. I'm still unsure why Barnard's goal in the first half was ruled out. Keeper has the ball in one hand held away from his body. A player runs up from behind him and heads the ball out of his hand (not touching the keeper) and then kicks the ball into the net. Fast forward until 3:35, the incident is then shown from numerous angles. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/20110110/all-angles-covered-saints-2-0-blackpool_2264122_2263254/0,,10280~2263254~1,00.html Is the referee right to award a free kick? I can't understand what Barnard did wrong, as the keeper only had it in one hand and Barnard didn't touch anything apart from the ball. Is there really something in the rules of football that say this is wrong or has the referee made it up?
  23. 18 minutes of highlights now on Saints player.
  24. TBF Davis' kicking isn't great either.
